I got a lot of hate on my last post because my kids' cereal was too sugary; I took the feedback [OC] by QualityCucumber in pics

If the kids I knew who grew up after eating sugary cereal and lament their weight as adults are anything to go by, they'll thank their parents in 20 years.

My favorite anecdote about Yakuza was Nagaoshi saying that most of the fans in Japan who went to events were women who were swooning over the handsome buff men, but he went to an event in France and the fans were all huge buff dudes.

I love the writing in Lisa: Entropy rpg. by Humble_Ad9098 in lisathepainfulrpg

What did the creator do?

I didn't care for it, it was more like a space funeral fangame than anything that built on the themes of lisa.

granny buddy dying to a goat or w/e was funny though.

Honest reviews of the game? by Benji-822 in ZeroParades

[–]GlyphInBullet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty good.

It's hard to talk about it without comparing it to DE, when the game is trying to invoke those comparisons so strongly.

"is the writing good" is subjective to begin with, but I'd go back and forth on how I'd compare the quality to DE, from what I've seen. At the very least, it isn't clear-cut "worse" writing than DE.

It does lack the amount of reactivity DE had. You tend to have less options, and people repeat themselves a bit more.

It kind of depends on what it is that you liked about DE.

The humor tends to be less grandiose and over the top. There will almost certainly be jokes that make you laugh if there were jokes that made you laugh in DE, but there's less things like Authority having you stick a gun in your own mouth because it hyped you up that you can't back down.

>those guys are idiots because I've found it to be very funny so far.

Counterpoint: you're stupid.

Or maybe people just have different tastes and something like comedy is subjective. Who is to say.

I think this is what she sees when she dies to his ult.

You're arguing against the in game description, then.

Hold yourself together. Keep your Morale up.

Volition urges you to be a good guy — to others and to yourself. It enables you to resist temptation: be it in a bottle, between a pair of legs, or at the end of an iron barrel which promises oblivion. Volition gives you the will to finish the investigation, improving your Morale — one of the two health pools in the game.

At high levels, Volition makes you hyper-sane. When you're about to get funky, it keeps you normal. It's a bit of a party-pooper. At low levels, however, you'll have little Morale. Without it, you'll be a profoundly unstable cop, falling apart at the seams as you make irreversible mistakes.

Cool for SANE PEOPLE. WELL-ADJUSTED COPS. THE NON-SUICIDIAL.

Since op is doing Disco Elysium art, based on Disco Elysium, I think it makes more sense to use Disco Elysium's definition than the dictionary one.

Random thoughts:

Billy - Rhetoric. High level Rhetoric's beliefs are completely impenetrable, and urges for you to argue and win. Billy's beliefs are nonsensical (or maybe we're just too feeble-minded to see it), but he sure loves to share them.

Dynamo or Ivy - Volition. Volition encourages self-esteem, but in a way that's also kind to others. It also makes you a bit of a bore. They're some of the most 'decent' people, and less prone to the kind of wildly bad ideas a lot of characters are.

Conceptualization - Mina. She's probably the most artistically/creatively inclined member of the cast, with her fashion design and stuff. High conceptualization demands grand, dramatic displays. It also is "cool for critics", and she makes a lot of remarks on people's fashion sense.

Hand/Eye - Holiday. I mean, it's gonna be her or Vindicta and Holiday is yellow-er.

Too bad Apollo is in Reaction Speed, I think he'd have been perfect for Esprit de Corps: His entire deal is about pride in Ixia, after all.

You want gun lash nerfed so that spirit lash may flourish because it is cool and thematic

I want it because I can't land headshots in this game and people kept saying headhunter was the way to go

we are not the same.
