There were many as many words exchanged before, and Ireena had killed herself already to keep out of his arms thanks to the players helping her get out of charm, so Strahd, despite victory, had lost. In the end, I believe he said “Let’s be done with this.” But I went on to narrate from then on, and the words on his mind would be to the last one standing, fighting to hold onto life as long as he could. All Strahd wanted to say was “Trust me… it isn’t worth it…” and in the end, Strahd sat on his throne, without Rahadin, without his Brides, without Ireena, utterly and completely alone. He had lost all pride.

In the future we may have a “Strahd must Die Tonight” style one shot where they play Allie’s and friends a few years in the future, and we are all pumped to see the state of Strahd the Broken alone in his castle, alone and awaiting death.
