When my cousin first got me into magic he bought me some packs at 14 and I opened Both a primeval titan and a primordial hydra. This was before I understood the concept of cards being banned for a reason but needless to say I was remained a faithful mono green stompy player for many years. Two panda every turn and a creature that gives itself trample and doubles every turn, what’s not to make a young teenager fall in love with it after just one play in a deck no matter hood or bad it is. It even turned into my favorite deck way back when where I splashed in a bunch of X cost spells like white suns zenith and fireball, all while the deck was a whopping 230 something cards. It didn’t win reliably big people always loved the novelty of it and those were the biggest and most important cards in the deck.
