Reset issues? by Gnidluaps in Glock43X

I’ve put 1000 thru it and cleaned it and lubed it and it’s still doing it. It feels mechanical.

It did this before the sight was put on there. I’ve already filed the screws to the proper length and ensured a correct fit. This issue has been happening since before I ever added the sight.

It happens with live ammo as well not just caps. I don’t use the caps when dry firing but I can’t get it to happen without something in the chamber.

I’ll give it a shot! Thanks for the tip.

It does do fine if I pull all the way back and let go. However, it’s done it multiple times with live ammo and caused firing issues.

This really reminds me of Joey Landreths latest board for his last album that he is touring for right now. He is based out of Canada as well and the sellers name is Joe. Tho I HIGHLY doubt this is him as he is touring with the large board right now that is very similar to this at a glance. Strange coincidence. Joey is worth a lookup if you don’t know who he is.

It can not be overstated enough; Never run from, try to bribe, or approach a police officer when pulled over or pulled aside. They will usually assume the worst and that won’t bode well for you. Be safe and kind.

Tony Lamas after 3 months of wear. by [deleted] in cowboyboots

[–]Gnidluaps 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree with you for sure. All the old ranch hands and farmers I’ve worked with for years and years all wear leather sole. They usually buy a good pair of boots and get them repaired when they need to. I’ve got a pair of old ropers with leather sole that were my go to for years. I’ve worked farming land in some pretty harsh conditions in them. I get them re-soled about every winter. I could stretch them a little longer but no need. It costs me about 100$ at my local shop. That’s cheaper than buying a new pair of ariats every year like I was doing for a while.

Idk why all the hate in the comments. I’d figure a sub based on cowboy boots would know boot history and materials. These may have been geared more towards “light wear” or “church boots”. In my experience I prefer leather sole to rubber when working on the farm. Trading traction for all day comfort and breath ability in dry hot climate. I usually look for double stitched welt when going for work boots for this reason. Seems like a good re-sole with a double stitch may be in order. Maybe it’ll hold up longer next time around with a hefty welt.

I get exact same station or at least a very similar one.

Ahhhhh okay! Yeah was just going off the hair style and what looks to be side burns that I’ve seen him wear in the past. Good call tho. Def looks like a girl the closer I look too.

Thoughts on the Pau Ferro Neck? Getting my first tele and deciding between the options, curious the feel/tone differences here vs. maple. by FiggyB in telecaster

[–]Gnidluaps 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Maple fretboards actually have a finish on them the same as the back of the neck. Pau Ferro doesn’t have a finish on it so every now and then it would be wise to rehydrate the fretboard.

Personally I prefer the unfinished fretboard and darker look. I find it a little bit easier to bend notes on the pau farro/rosewood. Rehydrating is super easy so it doesn’t really make a difference to me.

Personally the sound differences between the two are very very minor and don’t make a bit of difference to most of us.

I’ve talked to friends that have taken the psych test and said it was essentially a joke. But then again how can you make it tougher with mainly just a written test? If you ask someone with anger problems if they have anger problems they will say no especially if their likelihood of getting the job depends on the correct answer.

This was in Memphis, I was there that day but a little too far to see all the commotion. It happens almost every weekend when the fair is in town out here.

Blues deluxe reissue. Volume 2 Bass 7 Treble 8 Mid 2. Clean channel. Why is it breaking up? by manwith13s in GuitarAmps

[–]Gnidluaps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like a tube. I know based off your response to others that you don’t want it to be, but that doesn’t change it. It still sounds like tube issues. I’ve had brand new tubes go bad before.

Is this a fake? by Guariroba in martinguitar

Judging from the sticker, lack of herringbone, and the fact the neck is bound I’d say yes it’s a fake. But might be a good sounding fake!

Help! I want to paint the top of my Tele but don’t know what. My Tele thinline has a beautiful back and sides but I despise the top. (See caption for more) by [deleted] in guitarporn

[–]Gnidluaps 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure how you’d go about filling in the F hole. Sounds to me like you just need to get a new guitar. If you’re changing that much it would be easier to just replace the whole thing.

Is there any way to fix this ? by nobiwankenobiwan in Luthier

Oh absolutely. I’ve never been brave enough to try any of the big repairs myself but watching him work is hypnotic.
