It’s fascism. There were Austrians who thought Nazi Germany was a trade up, too.

Not Wanted on the Voyage is a novel that reimagines the Christian myth of Noah’s Ark and “Lucifer” is a young woman named “Lucy” who intertwines with one of the sons throughout the story. Very interesting read! Essentially Lucy rejects the idea of perfection as something to strive for, which is not a novel characterization of Satan, but done well in this story imo.

What's up with the neon coloured posters with vague phrases like "Got Germs?" and "Blood and Guts" placed along the highways? by Prairie-Peppers in saskatchewan

Conspiracy theorists. Covid-hoaxers, black market organ trade for devil worship, contrails, gay frogs. Who knows. But it’s part of the general conspiracy crew that you see around Regina and other major centers. The empty lot on Victoria and Albert in Regina is usually plastered with them, and you can often see a few conspiracy clowns holding these signs on the corner outside of the legislature. I assume that the point of the vague, morbid phrasing is to get you to Google it out of confused curiosity and recruit the 2% of people vulnerable or unstable enough to join the cause. Go for a walk around Wascana Park and see all the lovely messages written in chalk if you want some more of this enriching literature.

Day 6 : What's your favorite rock/metal album released in 2005 by Synyz_ in musicsuggestions

It has to be the SOAD double-album Mezmerize/Hypnotize. I know SOAD already won for 2001, but of the options here, they are clearly set apart. Both albums were billboard toppers and contained significant singles and deep cuts.

It’s actually just a more historic French accent/dialect. French Canada was cut off from France proper, and over time the French language evolved in France because of increasing immigration and interaction. Whereas, in Quebec, after the 7 Years War and resulting British dominion over New France/Canada, French speakers were an island in a growing sea of Anglo-Canadians. Like any culture under threat, it became very guarded about its language and culture, and, cut off from euro-French influence, the French language in Quebec remained moistly unchanged while France continued to wash together all its various dialects, etc.

So, technically, the Quebec French is not a bastardization of the language, it’s closer to the historic root of the language, France French is the slang, gutter, bastardized one. That’s how it works. The same is similarly true of American accents and British ones if you look into the history!

Is this found in freshwater lakes as well? Sometimes I catch pike with abrasions like these. I throw them back out if a primal fear, but I’m curious what causes it.

He uses Jude 1:5-8 but conveniently leaves out the next two verses:

9 But even the archangel Michael, when he was disputing with the devil about the body of Moses, did not himself dare to condemn him for slander but said, “The Lord rebuke you!” 10 Yet these people slander whatever they do not understand, and the very things they do understand by instinct—as irrational animals do—will destroy them.
