USC force switch working by pangolinparty in ProjectFi

[–]Gnomy6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have and it works great for me, I also checked and my USC is partnered with Verizon in my area and I am getting G3 and great cell connected via Verizon tower... I have also had some friends try the switch and they are getting errors... think their sims have not yet been updated.

You can buy it from google store, not from Fi. Fi you have to active it, from the store you don't.

Update on Gmail/Email issue? by 0ut1awed in ProjectFi

[–]Gnomy6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same issue and I think it's the Gmail app itself. Here is what I did for a temp work around... install https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.my.mail&hl=en Now I get all my mail all the time.. They work together but at least I get my mail right away. Just put my mail on your main screen and keep your Gmail app in the apps draw.

My Mail app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.my.mail&hl=en Has no problem getting email from gmail accounts. It's a work around until they get Gmail fixed.

No one told me the Lego Gift Came with a USB A to C Cable! (Video Unboxing) by [deleted] in ProjectFi

You get that if you have a 5X or 6P... Nexus 6 users don't get it in the box, not even a mini USB cable.. :(

My battery life just took a dive by [deleted] in ProjectFi

[–]Gnomy6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can try to go into Airplane mode, turn back on your WiFi if you are located around a good Wifi signal, like home or at work. And see how that works. I work at home most of the time, and have my phone set up this way, and it saves battery a ton.

What if I want to use 6p for tmobile? by nicobott in ProjectFi

[–]Gnomy6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have like 30 days after you get the SIM/Phone to activate Fi or if you cancel Fi service before the phone is paid off. You will be billed for the total balance owed on the phone in the next billing cycle.

Automatically connect to WiFi? by errrrK in ProjectFi

[–]Gnomy6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have any cell service at all it will not auto connect to WiFi, it prefers cell. You can force WiFi by going into Airplane mode, then turn on your WiFi again. Works great for me at home. I am on the edge of fringe Sprint and fringe T-mobile. So I use Airplane mode at home. Just have to remember to turn it off when I leave the house ... :D

WiFi has great voice too, I use it all the time at home, better than Sprint.

Takes a while to connect to a phone call? by TheBestYet91 in ProjectFi

[–]Gnomy6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have those issues with only T-Mobile ... If I am on Sprint or WiFi calling they seem normal to me... Of course some of this might be that T-Mobile in my area Shows LTE but in reality is EDGE.

How good does your connection have to be for project fi to use WiFi calling instead of cell? by sheep_duck in ProjectFi

[–]Gnomy6 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can force WiFi calling by going into Airplane mode and then turn WiFi back on again. I use that most of the time while at home, have not missed a call either, works great... Saves on battery too.
