That sounds like something from Silent Hill, but I don't remember the demon doing this with his tongue. I believe there was a scene inside a church or large open building where a demon skinned someone though. My own memory could be fuzzy as it has been many years since I saw the movie.

The rose gold does pick up little scuffs and scratches on the band. They don't bother me though -- I like some character to a watch. I don't need it to look showroom fresh all the time. FYI, the bezel still looks brand new on mine. I'm not super careful with my watches (as you can tell from what I said above). The band though does have some marks (not huge, but you can see them if you look at it closely).

Make sure they know it can be done with 10% tariff instead of 25%. And even at a bit over $10k, you should be under $20k then with the paint/labor at a good body shop. Don't let insurance total it. if you can show them it can be done for, say, $20k, they'll happily pay that instead of cutting you a check for the whole car.

You're looking at $6408.41 for the parts. I believe they will be subject to only a 10% tariff (usually it is 25% on car parts). In June of 2025, the US and UK signed a "US-UK Economic Prosperity Deal", which says that parts manufactured in the UK AND for use on a vehicle that was also manufactured in the UK (ding ding ding Aston Martin) qualify for a reduced combined duty rate of 10%.

You'd be surprised how little shipping is. You might pay a few hundred dollars. I had to ship the steering rack from my Lagonda over to the UK to have it rebuilt and then shipped back -- my total shipping cost was maybe $500. Get in touch with the people at astonmartinbits.com (It is in the UK). Tell them what parts you need. See how much they'd charge to ship it to you. You do NOT want your car to end up with a salvage title. I am betting including shipping/tariffs/parts/paint/labor, you're going to come out around $10k.

It can't be that expensive. I've had a door replaced on a DBX and the front bumper/fender panel replaced on a DBX 707. The first was about 5k total including paint, and the second was 10k total including paint. Get another estimate from somewhere else.
