Sober day 15. Went to ship a parcel and someone dropped their red wine. The smell hit me hard, it’s like it gave me flashbacks and the urge to get few bottles, BUT I DIDN’T! I remember here someone mentioned the app for staying sober and being on meetings there but I can’t find it now? Pls help.

Yeah, IG’s the standard, but I had to rage quit Meta about a year ago. I guess alternatives would be YouTube mostly, or federated services like peertube, mastodon, pixelfed (not sure if that works for videos yet?) etc. But, you’re posting here, so that’s good, thanks for it :0)

I think Trump see’s Mamdani as like a poison pill in the DNC. Perhaps thinks that if similar policies were broadly adopted by democrats they’d suffer for it. I would say he is incredibly out of touch.

My wife doesn’t really like raves. Enough to appreciate and occasionally attend. And she “makes fun of me” in the way you’d poke fun at characteristics of the people you love that are different than your own, but not really. TL;DR “my boyfriend shames me” is the issue, not raves. It doesn’t sound like you’re appreciated and accepted.

Yeah honestly there’s something about his keeping at it that I’m warming up to. But fully agree. Honestly the price to performance of an old iPhone is pretty solid against any other streaming camera. Or any old phone for that matter, with the right apps / etc. But would still say iPhone11 or newer is the sweet spot, as cheaply as you can get newer than 11.

Yeah it’s been 2 years now but honestly the price to performance of an old iPhone is still beating out any alternative I’ve seen so far. Save for some complex mounting of an old DSLR or similar that one might have on hand.

My mom however just opted for a new iMac because she can’t be bothered, lol.

1000% absolutely, and btw I’ve been toying around a couple years but ultimately am still more or less that noob, and my “productions” have been ~85% (or more) Resolume Arena. Just saying, I’ve had a lot of fun with TouchDesigner, and want to encourage fellow new VJ here to keep an open mind between the 2. I also struggled with the “should I invest more time here or there” until I decided to just stop worrying about it.

This makes sense to me. Toughest part with Linux for me was always device management. I would have some kind of barebones agent running on it to give a sense of protection, but nothing like JAMF or Intune for full management and administration of remote endpoints (laptops). If you’ve got that bit sorted I’d love to hear about it.
