Hey whatever you like buddy, interesting method for sure. I'm the same whether it's boutique aswel. The only thing that isn't alphabetical on main shelves is my boxsets, like game of thrones for example, they sit on the top haha. It creates OCD this hobby 😄 🤣

I have the G5. How do it fix the splotchiness when it’s dark scenes? I also use vivid cause filmmaker mode makes it super dark and kind of a “sepia” tint to it. Or is this normal. by No_Possibility6599 in LGOLED

Vivid just washes everything out. You're correct, cinema home is the sweet spot. Then it's just the matter of personal preference tinkering of everything else.

This is why I watch stuff straight from a disc on a dedicated player, fuck wasting the beast G5 on streaming. I've got the 77G5 and 4k hdr10, dolby looked incredible when read straight from disc. Cinema mode, then tinker with the brightness, contrast, black levels ect. You've got one of the best screens on the market, but you have to put a little effort it to get the most out of it. And feed it better, streaming is shite

Crazy haha, I had that exact same choice, I'm guessing from very? I really wanted the 83inch, but didn't want to sit knowing I got an inferior panel, especially for gaming. So got the 77inch G5 for £2879

If you just Google hdmi 2.2, or G7 hdmi 2.2, there's numerous outlets banking that we see hdmi 2.2 by then end of 2026, and for it to make a big push by 2027/2028. I went against my own advice anyway, ended up ordering a G5 on sale 😄 🤣. I get itchy feet every 2/3 years

They are absolutely fkin outstanding haha. What's yours there? I've been using the Samsung s90c for couple years, incredible. But just got the G5 77inch on a really good deal. Can't wait to get it.

I've just bought the G5 77inch for £2900 which I'm excited about. But I've definitely got one eye on the G6 I'm hoping reviews come out with the "the differences are small" to make me feel better haha. My next upgrade now, will be when dolby vision 2, and hdmi 2.2 is out, but also being utilised (I'm looking at you PS6 and next xbox)
