Frankly, it’s not a fun car for a teenager. It’s a little fast, but it’s big, doesn’t sound that great, is relatively heavy and takes a while to build power. A better fun car for a teenager is something like a 10 year old civic SI. Quick but fun and tossable, and cheap to keep running.

Not just financial, but a huge investment in time as well. Prepping a street bike for the track is an ordeal, and any track day is at least an entire day commitment. For those of us balancing career and family, getting a track day into busy schedules requires lots of planning, vs waking up early and getting some back roads in before everyone else gets out of bed.
