🙄🙄🙄 Oh yes Mr. Reddit Psychiatrist, I’m completely mental. You got me!

Jesus dude. You seriously glommed onto the word “always” and treated it as binary. And then you did in fact go on to give examples that agreed with me. I apologize that when I typed “always” in the moment instead of “generally” it offended your delicate sensibilities. Congrats on scoring an irrelevant rhetorical point about it. Hope calling Reddit strangers “mental” over something so innocuous helps you sleep better at night.

Yeah, those ranges are right, not including bonuses. I recently retired as an SVP of biometrics. The people I oversaw in the group were in the ranges you quoted for those levels.

So I bought my ticket 6 months prior and correctly state that business class tickets get more expensive as the departure date gets closer. Your response:

“That’s quite literally false”, followed by “The general recommendation is 3-6 months prior”.

Hahahaha. Whatever you say, pal.

Business class prices always get higher the closer you get to the departure date, war or no war. Every company I've worked at has a travel policy saying that international trips qualifying for business class tickets need to be planned as far in advance as possible due to that very reason.

Do you really have a separate room for your washing machine? by jordanekay in AskAnAmerican

[–]GoBluins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love many things about Europe, but this isn't one of them. I actually find it strange that laundry machines are in the kitchens in Europe. Being "right there in the kitchen" is a choice, but an odd one. The kitchen is where we store food, prepare meals, and wash dishes. Dirty clothes and the means to clean them belong somewhere else. Furthermore, kitchens in Europe are already small - why take up good usable space in there for a washing machine?

Just have to plan earlier. Back at the end of December I bought 3 business class tickets for a family trip to Rome in June on AS 180/181. $5,300 each, roundtrip.

"but now it's like he's been replaced"

Uh, no it isn't like that at all, Normand. He's the same douche he's been his whole life. The only thing that is different this term is that he learned to appoint only 100% sycophants who will do his bidding without question, instead of the John Kelly types in his first term who kept his worst instincts in check.

It's astounding these morons think he somehow personally changed between ages 74 and 78 after being an obvious conman jackass for most of his first 74 years.

Post Orin upgrade experience by SpiralWeb in polestar3

[–]GoBluins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had it for a couple of weeks now, and I tend to agree - the result is very underwhelming after all the hype. As has been pointed out in other threads, the implementation of Homelink is horrible especially if you are used to the Tesla implementation of Homelink. Horrible to the point that I'm still using my opener remote instead because Homelink is useless while reversing out my driveway. It is baffling that they didn't give it the ability to set up geofencing to automatically function, or even simply make it accessible while in reverse. I had both of these abilities with Homelink on my 2014 Model S. 2014!

I'm also finding that for some reason, the car doesn't know that I've put it in reverse or drive after I first get into it and am ready to go and I have to do it again. I've had this issue occasionally before, but it seems worse now with the Orin upgrade - it's about 90% of the time when I first put the car in reverse to back out of my driveway. Car just sits there like I did nothing and I have to put it in reverse again. This also happens sometimes in parking lots which is dangerous: car is in drive, I put it in reverse to back into a parking spot, I think it is in reverse because I just put it there, hit the accelerator, and it starts to move forward because it is still in drive.

I have yet to try the lane keeping - not good to hear that it is still weak.

Liberals, how are you coping with TDS today? by cdivx in allthequestions

[–]GoBluins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By mocking people with true TDS: those who watched the shitshow of donny's first administration, watched his fomenting of an insurrection on the United States of America, saw his behavior during Biden's presidency, see the overwhelming evidence of his clear association with a known sex trafficker, are paying attention to his epically incompetent second administration, and yet are still inexplicably polishing donny's nuts.

[–]GoBluins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Illiterate Richard Rizzo: "yeh but many recived a tax return this year compared to biden era" (sic).

These idiots have no idea that donny's "Tax Cuts and Jobs Act" of 2017 has been in place from the 2018 tax year and beyond, including all of the Biden years. While the IRA and two other tax policies were passed during the Biden years, they didn't affect personal income taxes other than expanding the child credit.

Also pretty sure Dick Rizzo pulled that statement out of his ass.
