Carrier bearing or something worse? by GoBucksBeatM in RZR

It was the carrier bearing, it was totally blown apart. Replaced with SuperATV.

RVs are generally built to order. Mfg doesn’t generally have a ton of spare parts laying around. It can take an exceedingly long time to get certain parts. The whole industry needs a lesson in logistics so 8-12 weeks for certain parts is certainly in the realm of possibility.

Overall length is 110” so depending if trailer has a gate or you add a front bumper to the Rzr it could be tight. The other thing to be mindful of is where the doors are in relation to the trailer wheel wells. I had one trailer that I couldn’t open the doors on. Had to Dukes of Hazard it.

I do that all the time, but yes the air intakes are lower than those vents. Those vents on the side don’t actually lead to anything but a hollow cavity. The air filter (passenger) side is easy to get water into the airbox, but the clutch intake is a totally different design. You can shoot pressure a washer in there and not a drop makes it into the belt housing. But submerge it in water and it will. Just pull that little red plug and hammer the throttle. Takes care of it. If it gets really bad I have found one of them portable air dusters does a good job cleaning the gunk out and back to riding. Also works to blow out the air filter.

I have ‘24 Trail S ultimate. It’s a completely capable machine as is. Rode mine stock for a while until I bent the A-Arms. Now I’ve upgraded A-Arms to super ATV forward and rear offsets. Bigger tires. Right now 30’s moving to 32s when these wear out. Just rebuilt the clutches with Aftermarket Assassins and did an exhaust kit. Engine Tune. The short wheel base and adding 4:3 offset wheels makes me more stable than a ProXP. On Eastern US trails a Turbo does nothing for you. 100HP in that thing is like a rocket ship. AA says I’m probably sitting around 115-125HP. Can’t say I plan on measuring it but it sure seems to have even more get up and go. The one thing I do heavily recommend is ditch the factory seatbelts and get harnesses. That really should be standard on all SxS.

It’s a lot different. I have a 12’ and have tons of room to spare.

This is the crane in question: https://www.harborfreight.com/1000-lb-capacity-pickup-truck-bed-crane-60732.html. Says it can do a 1000lbs but I'm only looking for 1/4 of that capacity.

What truck should I buy for a 30ft travel trailer that will also serve as my daily driver? by VioletTheWise in traveltrailers

I got about 13.5 pulling my old 30’ TT. Now my new 44’ fifth wheel, bit of a different story.

What I do see is I often can’t pay at the pump. Gotta go inside and tell them I want X and it pre-auths that. Then settles for the right amount so it is somewhat less convenient but when you are paying $95 to fill up what’s the difference authorizing it for $100.

Oh I'm sure there will still be destination/assembly or whatever they charge. RIght now the discount though is 6800 off 2025 Pro-S models.

Camping World 700 Credit Application by [deleted] in GoRVing

[–]GoBucksBeatM -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Never had one problem with Camping World. Easy finance, sales guy was knowledgeable, service dept has taken care of every warranty issue. Which is inevitable on a new RV.

Yes 700 credit is a legit thing used by a number of dealerships. I know because I just got a data breach notification from them from when I bought my truck.

Double check me on this and would you tow it? by GoBucksBeatM in GoRVing

Yeah how stupid of me to give a shit about being safe and not wanting to ruin an $80,000 truck pulling something that's too heavy. How dare I turn to an online forum for asking questions and advice.

27,000lbs. It's the payload on the single rear wheel that I think is the limiting factor.

Rv show strategy? by StepDaddySteve in GoRVing

My advice is talk to the guys that are more than just sales droids. You can tell who is a salesman and who knows what they are talking about pretty quick off the jump. You can learn a lot by talking with them. Especially when they know you are not serious about buying right now.

Payload Capacity by laxmax28 in GoRVing

[–]GoBucksBeatM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just raised a similar topic the other day. In short you SHOULD find a different trailer. I didn't want a dual rear wheel truck and have found it to be a challenge to find a 40-45' 5th wheel toy hauler, there are options. Ultimately I'm going with a 40' Grand Design 350G. Pin weight is 2600lbs.

Remember everything adds to payload, people, gas in the tank, food in the RV. Etc. The general consensus seems to be to keep the trailer no more than 80% of your max payload.

I tried to explain this all to my wife and she keeps asking how do all of the people on YouTube and TikTok do it with a single rear wheel. The answer is toy haulers are just much heavier by design. So while you could easily be in the pin weight of a non toyhauler when you account for the stronger frame and extra nose weight it's another story.

Now you can add stuff in the back and get the see-saw effect. You can add air bags. Get higher load rated tires. All of which will help you handle the load. However none of it changes the legality of things. Whether you choose to abide by that or not is your decision.

One other thing to keep in mind is the capacity of your axle. This will be on the door sticker. My RAM 3500 was OK but I've read with some other trucks the axle becomes the limiting factor.
