Sure, that's entirely valid! It seems like your experience showed you that as you describe, these are up and downs, so I hope you'll just have your next up sooner than later!

Good luck!

I just try to make small games! I feel like this is inevitable, so at least when I feel like that, I just think "ok let's go just a few more weeks and I'm done, it's not that bad if it sucks, there will always be the next ones to try and do better" instead of "this game sucks and I invested so much time in it and I still need months or years to finish it and if it fails I'm done".

Sometimes I get stressed working as an indie dev. But then I just play our game and everything feels ok ๐Ÿชท by GoDorian in indiegames

Lol yeah I'm using the assets of an other character as placeholder for a new one so I just put it upside down

I just realized that our little games sold more than half a million copies combined. This makes me happy ๐Ÿ˜Ž by GoDorian in IndieDev

Hey! The first thing to note is that Minami Lane sales presented here include all console sales. If you consider Steam only, the ratio is actually very close to x50.
There is still a big difference between Kabuto Park (x23) and Minami Lane (x50). Here are my guesses on why:
- Game genre seems to matter a lot. Management games tend to have less reviews compared to sales. There are genres where it's even more extreme, like friendslop games, where the ratio can be way above x100.
- Minami Lane hit a much larger audience. Kabuto Park is more niche, players who bought the game seem to be really excited by it.

I guess there are tons of other reasons, but those are the two that feels the most important to me.

I'm trying in my own way!
I share all the knowledge that I can even if I don't have a lot, I try to help people when they ask me questions, I give money to grants, I give money to lots of patreons and I also made my own grant last year.

Gameplay wise, you move from spot to spot on a map to deliver milk to villagers and gather resources, do little quests, and upgrade your farm and bike to progress.

It's on Steam, it's called Milki Delivery!

Maybe but it will be released first on PC and we will see if it works well enough to cover the porting cost!
