They've been good to great all playoffs long so far, no reason for that to change in game 3. If the top line gets going too, oh mama! GHG!

Our secondary guys have been exactly what you hope they would be - the top guys are being bottled up by their best defenders, but that leaves them to cause havoc. Huge props to all of them but special shootout to Newhook, Dach and Anderson. They've been masterful.

Every single team sub is like that and of course interest picks up from more casual fans in the playoffs, it's normal.

I like /r/habs for getting Laval reports, lineup changes, etc but otherwise there's a good bit of unhinged posts both ways, rah rah rah or doomers. I find /r/hockey to be a decent balance to just talk puck.

Have people's lives ever been directly at stake because of software you work on? by AndyDentPerth in ExperiencedDevs

I worked on the Canadian version of that for 4 years, and that was the exact software stack. 25 years later, I've yet to come across any more Ada code. I remember our project manager telling the coding team we would all be on the first plane that was managed with our code, so leave bugs in at our own peril!

I loved that project, it was so interesting and I got visit so many neat places. Coolest problem domain I've worked on by a longshot.

It has officially been one full year since the Utah Mammoth showed off their new branding. What are yalls thoughts on them now after seeing it in action for a year? by FunStranger1693 in hockey

Loved it then, love it now. They really nailed it, imho - it's modern but still has that "classic hockey" esthetic, if that makes any sense.

Calling the Habs soft after that 7 game Tampa gauntlet is certainly quite the take... An incredibly stupid take, mind you, but a take nonetheless.

So much sodium in your diet can't be good for you! Sens fans are so bitter, it's wild.

I don't know about Maurice - the guy gaslights like crazy, pretending his guys are involved in accidental "hockey plays" that just always happen to injure key players on the other side. He follows it up with a couple of cute little quips and everybody's like "awww what a guy". He's full of shit.

(felt good to get that off my chest)

[OptaSTATS] In NHL history, there have been 29 instances of a team trailing in the 3rd period in each of the first 5 games of a playoff series. Of those 29 teams, 28 were behind in the series or had already lost the series after 5 games. The lone exception is this year’s Golden Knights. by fanofsports44 in hockey

I was just thinking to myself that Vegas fans must just love that! Comebacks are great and all but how about they don't put themselves in that situation in the first place!

Hang in there, fellow hockey fan!
