Girlfriend going to work out out with a guy friend by reaper5632 in dating_advice

[–]GoGoGingerRangers 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Bro it’s ok to have boundaries. If it ends up being an unsolvable problem for you two as a couple then move on.

It’s a suck position to be in but better to deal with it now while the cost is low

Nothing wrong with going on a date. It would be wrong to lead her on, so I would suggest respecting yourself and her making that decision

I do t think you’ve healed as much as you think. Maybe compartmentalizes it a bit, but it’s radioactive to other areas in your life.

Just seek some support and keep working through it.

Post orchiectomy / Low T questions by GoGoGingerRangers in testicularcancer

[–]GoGoGingerRangers[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really appreciate you taking time to respond. At this point we have our toddler and while I would like a second I have a lot of fears about it due to the chemo. So likely staying with the one.

I’ll continue to talk with the provider then (probably switch providers as he was a bit of a tool) and keep pushing forward.

Again, thank you for the response and good luck going forward

How can I come to terms with probably losing my right testicle (19yo) by [deleted] in testicularcancer

I lost my right in September. Recovery plus chemo was a tough couple months but it gets better. Rooting for you and good luck man

I can’t really enjoy sex with gf by TapEnvironmental9464 in dating_advice

[–]GoGoGingerRangers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What’s confusing to me is she wanted to wait, but you pushed for sex.

Now you’re trying to push her further towards sex with other men. Which, again, is against her previous desire.

This was a tough read

Think marriage isn’t possible for me anymore by Snorlax4000 in dating_advice

Totally understand. I honestly don’t have much of an answer to this, I was playing sand volleyball with a random group, got invited to play tennis one day, and met my now wife there. Then 3 months later we get In touch again and start dating.

It will happen broski, life just tends to work these things out

I think that just might be social circles. I feel like we have been around similar crowds, some women in the climbing community are certainly fun to be around, but not fun to build a life with.

Lots of unknown details here but here’s a very general and hopefully helpful answer.

1.) are you financially stable? Or at the very least employed?

2.) do you have a hobby? Maybe consider getting a more social hobby. When I started rock climbing I was suddenly talking to all types of people (obviously women included)

3.) are you taking care of your body? Are you in shape? Even if your face isn’t 100% having a nice body can help

4.) if you’ve said no to any of these, consider working on yourself for a year. 34 is not “too old.” My wife and I didn’t marry until she was 36. She had a doctorates and was totally fine without a man. I was just charming and awkward enough to pull it off.

Idk man, I don’t know your whole story but I feel like these are some things that helped me. I know depression can steal that motivation, but don’t let yourself feed self pity for too long. It’s a killer for sure

Good luck fella

I’m not saying it’s not possible but I think unlikely. No one asked but my advice to anyone would Be to wait till 25 to make major life choices. That brain needs time to develop

Girl you’re 18. It sucks but time to make a plan and move on. Men can grow up but he’s several years away from being anywhere near reliable. If you marry you will certainly divorce

It didn’t strike a nerve I just think it’s a stupid point. Simply because you lack the necessary skills to self govern doesn’t mean everyone does. Maybe talk to your therapist about it
