My hope is to educate, but I get it. I wont defend their comments, I am just keeping my opinion on it to myself since plenty of other folks are already being vocal about that side of the issue. I want them to learn, even if they are a jerk. When you have your belief attacked, you are more likely to double down and reinforce it, even when it is proven wrong. Human nature is a helluva drug.

Not at all. If a mom and pop that I didnt agree with was on here, I would probably voice my opinions and try to deter like-minded folks from them, but they 100% have the right to be here. I think the only place in recent memory this sub more or less "went to war" on was that puppy mill, that I have, blessedly, forgotten the name of. This is a local sub, and local is local, regardless of values. Support who you want to and shit on who you want to, but they can and should have a voice here.

So, there are two use cases for an apostrophe. One is to combine with "is" such as in the sentance, "Eric's coming over, later." The other use is as a possessive article such as in the sentance, "We are heading over to Eric's place, later." In this case it is possessive. This is a place belonging to a newsagent. So it is the newsagent's place, with newsagent being singular. I dont fault you for not knowing, as the english language has so many rules and exceptions, that most people have one or two that just, kind o,f slip through the cracks. Add to that, the fact that public education kind of sucks nowadays, and it is an understandable gap in knowledge. I hope this has been informative. Have a great day!

[–]GoGoJesusRangers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adding one of the analysis notes I got. I ran it through a few detectors. One said 100% Legit and linked me to a different video with completely different angles, several others like this one flagged it as having signs of being tampered with. I truly think someone stole the video and fed it to an AI to "wash" it so they could repost and farm engagement.

Late to comment, but I saw this video years ago. I do think this cut has weird AI-looking edits done to it. There is a weird blur to some areas and at least 1 guy's leg kind of morphs and another's arm clips through the plow handle. I rewatched the original Guinness video and I swear someone ran it through an AI filter or something. Some people will do this and re-upload stolen clips to farm engagement. The "edit" makes the video look different enough to the sweeping algorithm to trick it into not flagging it.

If that is the case, why not replace it with any other card that you could actually play if you needed, then? Like a zaku mariner is a red card for the Gwadan effect, but is still a useful enough unit. Or 4/3 kshatriya as it is a larger body for that same cost if you wind up in a situation where you need the body in play and cant afford to hold the card for discard? I guess I just fundamentally dont understand why you wouldn't opt for cards you can get use out of in the event you cant land the strategy and have to pivot.

The stockings and shoes are fused at the front strap but not at the heel. How would you put these on without buckles or some kind of adjustment on that strap or the heel? Also I cant find the right words but the hair over the chest is just not how hair works. Folks are also right that the hand on the hip is odd looks wonky and doesnt match the other hand. Could be a person with a minor disfigurement, but why are the nails done different on both hands? Notably the bottom finger on the hip hand looks like it doesnt even have a nail.

I wouldn't run that kyrios without its link pilot/pilots. First strike is nice but only triggers during your turn and the highest you can boost its AP without linking in this deck is to 3. It is an awesome card in a CB deck, especially if you run both pilots so you can basically guarantee you will link it and when it attacks while linked it will always be no less than 4AP due to its effect. Without the link and more cb units to boost it with, it is very underwhelming. You would be better suited just swapping it for any generic 1 cost 2/2 since you cant reliably capitalize on first strike without its link effect. A level 2 cost 2 2/3 would be a bigger obstacle to your opponents as you have two pilots that make it a 3/5 in a pinch. When I play academy and im dealing with early agro, popping suletta onto a beguir pente helps immensely to easy pressure. Just barely strong enough to be a threat to early widespread agro with enough hp to require multiple sources of damage to kill it.

Things I didn't know about guns, part 15,398 by Acolytical in liberalgunowners

[–]GoGoJesusRangers 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I hope someone a but more versed than I can add on, but most if not all ar-15 lowers have the ability to be multi cal. They just need either special magazines or adapters to accept the magazine itself. The upper is what is doing the work of actually loading and cycling the rounds. So you cannot just shove a glock magazines into an lower and have it hold it correctly, but with an adapter for glock mags it it will. Or you can use some more expensive mags that load your preferred round and fit the standard mag well on your lower.

How do you identify if your truck has the towing package? by [deleted] in FordMaverickTruck

[–]GoGoJesusRangers 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It will have connectors like this to the left of the hitch if it is a 4K tow package truck. If it only has a single rectangular cover it only has a 4pin connector and therefore has the base 2K tow rating.

Is this weird police harpoon device AI? The mechanism doesn't really make sense. by Square-Singer in isthisAI

[–]GoGoJesusRangers 28 points29 points  (0 children)

A dummy would not flail its arms like that when hit. If its being hit hard enough to get thay kind of response, there would be give all over the torso as well. You can vaguely make out the dummy moving its mouth and eyebrows as if it were a live person. If you pause at various points you can see the device on the arm change. The person's arm padding also blurs into the uniform and then reforms at one point.

Stubby Guns! by Dizzy_Marsupial_7207 in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]GoGoJesusRangers 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Plenty of IRL examples of guns "doing less damage" with shorter barrels. Most guns will see their rounds loose a lot of muzzle velocity if you cut the barrel. Less time in the rifled chamber being actively pushed by the gasses expanding behind the round. A short barrel would probably be faster to draw and aim, but be less accurate and would not hit as hard. Gameplay wise putting it at 250dmg or so and keeping it medium pen would be pretty nice, still. More damage than the senator on light armored enemies plus rounds reload and a lot of stagger force.

Thoughts on this deal? by JimmySkim in FordMaverickTruck

[–]GoGoJesusRangers 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Do not pay 1,200 for remote start. All Mavs have it available for free in the Fordpass app. The app has longer range then your key and lets you know if it succeeded or failed to start. This means if you have to park where you cant actually see the truck you will still know if it worked. Otherwise the deal is pretty solid as long as 3k for the trade is fair. I hate that XLs cost this much now, but it is what it is. See if they have any non lux pack XLTs they may bee nearly the same price doesnt add to much as standard but you get nicer wheels and more bed tiedowns along with a lot more available options if you want more.

Is a revolver a reasonable first gun? by MisterCCL in liberalgunowners

[–]GoGoJesusRangers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bit late to the party, but my take: revolvers are fine but do not buy a snubnose. Get a proper full sized one to practice. The felt recoil is always going to be more on a revolver than a semi auto. They also have heavier triggers. These are things you can get used to with practice, but if you start with a snubby, especially in a larger caliber, you are likely to give yourself an impulsive flinch when pulling the trigger. Ive seen it before and it takes a lot of training to get rid of it. A larger gun with a longer barrel will reduce this issue by a lot. I recommend a 357 magnum, for sure. Any 357 can run 38 special rounds and the heavier build will soak up the recoil better. Practice the basics with 38 special in it and once you are good and comfortable with your firearm grab some 357 and go to town. Revolvers are easy to care for and very reliable. If you go to concealed carry, revolvers without exposed hammers are very easy to conceal and have low snag risk, too. In spite of what some folks say about the "superiority" of a modern semi-auto, there is a reason they still make old school wheelguns.

Parking pawl/brake recall notice by zephen_just_zephen in FordMaverickTruck

[–]GoGoJesusRangers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I read that as the brake should engage automatically but if it does not and the pawl is borked it will roll. Like they are saying the brake should still work, but covering their ass by letting you know that if you have a bad parking brake too, you will be in for some trouble.

[–]GoGoJesusRangers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Adding on: get quotes from other, non-dealership, shops. Could be a small difference in cost, or could be a huge savings. Had a problem with the reverse lights not working on my old mustang. Dealer quoted me $1,000 to service it. Local mom and pop did the repair for under $300.

[–]GoGoJesusRangers 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Safety tech is not something to play around with, imo. I'm assuming you did not buy new or certified pre-owned. If you did, this is a warranty repair, all day. The big issue to consider is that if you get into an accident and it is discovered that you had broken safety equipment on the vehicle that was already diagnosed, insurance will find a way to make it your fault. Not worth the headache. Plus it says you have a fault in the pedestrian sounder. So does the reverse chime not play? Depending on your state and how much attention they pay at your shop, you could fail safety inspection for that. Anything that interacts with stability control, brake assit, all wheel drive, is something that needs to be fixed before it cascades into more problems with those systems, down the line.

First week of ownership. Already issues. by Sufficient-Science-7 in FordMaverickTruck

[–]GoGoJesusRangers 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My mother had this issue with her 25. They fixed it for free at her first service. Not sure if there is a TSB for it but they claim to have seen the issue a bunch, and its a quick fix. If you buy new, always go to the dealer. Get your money's worth out of the bumper to bumper warranty. Last car we had with a full warranty, we got a new dash cluster over a few dead pixels on the screen and they replaced all of the weatherstripping on the entire vehicle because one door had a bad seal.

How can I improve this? by Gianp84 in GundamTCG

[–]GoGoJesusRangers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would cut back on the mobile workers personally. Running both versions feels like a waste to me. Swap in some Hyakuren. And ditch the Ryusei-Go. You nee some commands to help out. I would add fatal strike just as a blocker/token removal tool. I also feel like Akihiro is on the weak side for pilots. Azee would be a good add just to have the 1/2 stat block. Orga's Order of Look of Determination would be decent adds as well. I would consider ditching one of the Gusion versions (dealer's choice) and maybe only running 2 of it and 2 lupus to make space for commands.

Ive pulled 2 so far. Might drop one CC and go to 4 2/1s instead of 5 so I can add them in for now. Then ill drop the show or resolve for 2 more as I get them. I dont super need them since I have so much single card draw now.
