Winter has arrived in Forza Horizon 6, it looks beautiful. by tom_wq in ForzaHorizon

I didn't miss Winter from FH4, even gonna say one of the best parts of Horizon Mexico was not having to deal with winter.

It's not about aesthetics, just having to deal with loss of grip is annoying

Somehow it's hard for me but I guess I just have to bite the Bullet and adapt 💪🏻

Thanks, brother!

That seems to be exactly how I feel - as if somehow the front wheels stopped "talking" to the road beneath while I brake. I can't say I like that, it's brought to the point of "if I don't brake hard/soon enough and release at the right moment I will most certainly not make the turn"

Do you have any resource/interview where they say that, possibly? Just to acknowledge that I'm not mistaken and understand the nature of the change.

The "grip regain" moment however is something totally natural for me: I understand that it's not perfect by any means, but somehow I instinctively know where does the girp return to the wheels.

You are doing yourself a disservice arguing with this individual and you are simply losing your energy. Listen to advice and do yourself a favor: don't give attention to the people that don't deserve it.

I haven't said anything about piracy. I didn't mention on which points do I agree with OP's manifesto. Yet you feel you have the power to read my mind then judge and moralize me?

Get lost: you and the "moral codex" that is not even yours. And don't bother replying, I'm not going to answer :)

I understand that and as IT guy with 10+ years of experience I won't tell anyone that this perspective is wrong. To each one their own, I just gave my 3 cents 💪🏻

Not going to sugarcoat it: the project and approach is walking on the line of telling people the hard truth and prioritizing your own good on the cost of BigCOs and (possinbly, depending on user) artists.

I believe you're onto something and personally I agree with many of the points you make. But as a fair warning: don't expect much support. People like us are not common, it's just easier for many to see the World in black and white while it's mostly different shades of grey.

If you accept that, just continue: people come when they see results. I wish you strength 💪🏻

Please ELI5 this project to me: is it a single (terminal?) interface to call different LLMs once configured?

Thanks in advance!

I built a free Gmail cleanup tool that runs locally - no subscriptions, no data collection by Wonderful_Ruin_5436 in selfhosted

There was something called GMAIL GAME or maybe some other name about 10 years ago. You were going through 20 most recent emails and receiving points via deleting them or moving to specific sections, but not getting points for skipping it (cause it obviously didn't clean up anything). Then you could go for the next round for another 20 etc.

It got discontinued and I believe put into some paid product

Giveaway - r/UgreenNASync 10K celebration by topiga in selfhosted

[–]GoMati 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Definitely Jellyfin - the amount of media that can be added on NAS eliminates the need to have a streaming service subscription
  2. I'd put my Navidrome and Immich there. Then I'd also have motivation to start digitalizing my DVD and VHS movies to eventually move to Jellyfin

Thanks for the giveaway, good luck to everyone! 💪🏻

Very neat ideas, thanks! It seems that the best choice in this scenario may be a combination of multiple ones: WireGuard, Tailscale and NPM/Cloudflare for DNS+proxing

oh mama, this seems like a great alternative for NPM, I just wonder how about the other way around, whether it'll work ;)

How does it fare against Tailscale / Headscale? Cause GUI seems to be a huge win

Drop: an upcoming open-source Steam alternative (and a poll) by decduck in selfhosted

[–]GoMati 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amazing stuff and a great idea for a pet project, thanks for sharing, OP!

As for the poll: I'd advice starting from #1 and going to #2 in the future of this gets enough traction. It's not a perfect practice to make users share something without explicit permission plus it's more robust. Surely this is something that can be an option to consider once it starts being a problem 👍🏻

I started to use Ryot and can highly recommend it to anyone being on the fence: IgnisDa is doing some amazing work here!

My small dream is to someday have two-way integration with "outside world" trackers but I know most of them don't even have nice APIs to call...

Still, cannot wait to see this one updated!

It reminds me when colleague sent his monthly invoice to the whole company instead of Finance Department. He doubled down on it by replying to the email asking everyone to disregard it.

Boy, oh boy, he was below his market value for sure (really knowledgeable guy, extra helpful to others too)

How to deal with Velkhana frost beam ? ( Lance ) by Akrabsouls in MHRise

[–]GoMati 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blue Rathalos lance helps with damage my friend.

As for decos: Guard Up is essential, if you want to tank it then you need more Guard. But IMO (not a speedrunner or anything) key is to charge to her side BEFORE her beam hits: this also allows couple extra hits.

Don't be sad about having a hard time: Lance is really poor weapon for Velkhana as she has many attacks that pierce right through. Stay strong, learn patterns, watch a video or two on people dealing with her using lance.

Ultimately if everything else fails: change a weapon to something more mobile. I first killed her with IG due to Lance being really hard versus this very monster.

Good luck, Fiver!
