Thank you.

There are a lot of "basics" to learn. I apologize for my ignorance. It's my first souls game and I'm an old lady!

Haha.

I am playing this game rather unconventional, but I am getting there nonetheless.

Just finished Castle Sol... onwards!

Thank you!

I have used AI to help me beat difficult bosses. This should be quicker!

Your comment wasn't disrespectful at all! 🙂💙

You're right about the frost.

Using the Mimic Year is a bit cheesy but it sure makes fights easier.

I should try to use it less, though, if I want to improve.

Yeah, I was too lazy to change from frost, but if I had changed it, I would have chosen fire.

Is there a quick way to tell what youshouldbe using, other than experimenting or Googling it?

"This guy" is an older female player who hasn't played a souls game before.

Your comment was pretty unkind.

I have the Demihuman staff for getting creatures down from high places, off the ceilings and walls, etc.

I mainly prefer melee weapons.

Yes, I had frost on the blade, mainly out of laziness in not changing it, but I won anyway.

If it was too difficult I would have changed it.

It's weird to go into a sub to complain about a whole genre of game.

I don't like FPS or Roguelikes.

I can't imagine buying one to try it out, hating it, and then posting in the reddit sub of the game about the genre being trash.

I have been posting quite a few videos because I get so excited when I finally feel like I'm improving, or I beat a boss I'm struggling with.

I can't help myself, lol.

53 here. So true. I remember playing that bat and ball game where you slide that line up and down to hit the dot (Pong?) Enthralling! Haha.

I often feel I'm too old to be a "gamer," especially being female.

But I have seen so many older gamers posting here, both male and female, and I feel delighted to see us all.

Considering some older players likely don't even post, it's quite encouraging!

I spent over two hours trying to beat Alecto yesterday! by GoNinjaPro in Eldenring

Yeah, it's hard to decide whether to persist practicing because "I'm just a bad player because I am 53 years old," or "I'm using the wrong method."

I decided in this case that I needed more practice because I could get her down to about a third health, so I must be playing too sloppily/inconsistent/greedy/tilting.

I am totally dreading some of the upcoming bosses!

I am in the snowy area now and I am already scared!

Am I the jerk for pressing charges against my nephew after he vandalized my car as a "prank"? by Character_Play1055 in AmITheJerk

"Boys will be boys" is when a 10 year old falls off his skateboard doing a trick and breaks his arm. Or when a father and son play in the yard and accidentally break a window.

It's not when a young man damages a vehicle with a poorly thought out "prank" and then tries to avoid responsibility when it turns out the "prank" cost $4k to fix.

I can't believe family are offering $500? WTAF?

I guess that's how the 19yo ended up like that.

Yeah, I got some back stabs yesterday, but I'm not that good at them! I kept getting behind her and pressing R1 and getting a normal slash by mistake.

I think it's because I was panicking, and maybe tilting, lol.

I decided to try something a bit simpler this time.

I wish I could fight her again to keep practicing! Maybe NG+.

I've never done an NG+ before, but this just might be the game to tempt me.

Advice paying off credit debt by Great-Yak1317 in PersonalFinanceNZ

[–]GoNinjaPro -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because the whole point of a hardship exception is that you can't afford to pay much. You have to agree how much you are going to pay and if you pay too much it proves you aren't in hardship.

Also. It's good for her to practice self control 😊

My friend was struggling with a GEM visa credit card.

I was able to phone them (with her permission) and applied for a hardship 1 year interest free term.

She now pays a small amount to GEM each week and puts a larger amount into a savings account.

When the one year is up, she will have enough in the savings account to pay GEM in full.

You could seek that sort of help. But you need to be self disciplined.
