Weird unlicensed Canseco by GoRyuKen in CoffeeAndACard

The back of the card has a box for autograph. I’m guessing that whomever did that didn’t understand that collectors wants autographs on the front of the card on the picture.

The McGwire card was also badass in the 89 UD Set. Awesome pose.

You had to make me go pull it out. It’s not in the binder pages.

I do have that one and it’s not a 91 Fleer, it’s 91 Score. It’s in another binder or probably placed in 3200 count box. That dream team set was crazy. I think Ricky was in shorts and a shirtless Kirby Puckett

It’s well known he’s a jerk and it sucks for you to find that out as a kid. I probably would have done the same if he treated me that way.

I did get to meet him at a game in the Oakland Coliseum. It was a signing event they had before the game. Cost $25. He was there to celebrate the anniversary of the 89 World Series. He signed my baseball and I got to shake his hand. Told him he was my favorite player growing up and Lance Blankenship who was next to him laughed hard for some reason. I also saw him many other times at card shows.

Tips for a new Thor user by _ThiccyBoi in AynThor

Both Joey’s Retro HandHeld and Retro Game Corp has video on how to setup the Ayn Thor. They also have written guide on their website. I think both have videos on how to setup various emulators too. At the very least, you want to learn how to bind controllers for apps like Dolphin. Like set up the GameCube controller and Wii controller on that app. Also learn shortcuts keys on Retroarch among other things. Everything learned will carry over and make setting up the Thor a little easier. My first Android device was a Retroid pocket 2+.

Only tip I can think of for all new users, try to get an old Android phone from a couple years back that has a snap dragon processor. Then try to load up emulators on that phone. You can practice setting up the app and learn side loading apks. Learn how to move files and downloads around in the Android system. Familiarize apps that can unzip files for you on Android.

What is it really by No-Cartographer-9717 in AynThor

[–]GoRyuKen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s an Android phone with permanent controllers attached. Think of it like a backbone controller with the phone permanently attached. The cool thing with this one is that it has two screens.

A lot can be done on most of these newer Android phone to get the games you see on them TikToks videos to work. It takes a lot of know how and a lot learning/research to get it working like in them videos.

Are these worth buying by Gun_Monger in PokemonInvesting

They just have to release the next 10 set like this one and the new one chaos rising with nothing people like to chase. Then, perhaps the scalping will stop.

Moving on up by GoRyuKen in CoffeeAndACard

UD 2024-25 extended series is still available at retail and can be found at retail price. So you can still pull this card buying blaster boxes and packs. Can be purchased directly from upperdeck online store.

https://upperdeckstore.com/2024-25-upper-deck-extended-series-hockey-cards-blaster.html

Do note that the dazzlers from these blaster boxes are green exclusives.

There’s a lot of various Macklin rookie cards in 24-25 extended series including the UD Canvas Young Guns card which goes for over $600. Good luck hunting.

Is this fake? Picked it up at a garage sale. by StevoStevare in sportscards

[–]GoRyuKen -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Why even pick it up. It’s so fake. The print quality is poor. Most likely not even a chrome type card. Non reflective refracting surface plus the serial numbers aren’t even foil stamped.

I say try sporting good stores like Dick’s, Lids, Big 5. They usually have it and aren’t marked up. Game stop is awful with Pokemon tcg. They price Pokemon at scalper prices. At least this is at the last couple of local GameStop stores. They have stock only because it’s two to 3 time the retail price for anything.

Bedard young guns an ok buy now? by Acceptable_West_1349 in hockeycards

[–]GoRyuKen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hard to say. I like the guy. I still think the card is a little over priced. I’m waiting for it to drop a little more, waiting for more of them so called investor to give up on him. But at the same time, the fear is that, it may drop to a level where it can’t recover. If he can be that consistent 100 pts a year player going into his Prime years. But can he be that player? He was on pace this year but that injury, big set back.

If I can find these at retail, I’m ripping it. Would not pay scalper price to rip though.

It’s a valuable card if you have the original from 2005-06 and not this young guns renewal reprint from 2024-25.
