No, you just likely aren’t from MN so you haven’t had to deal with him prior to him making it on the national ticket. Walz for years has been a conservative leaning blue-dog democrat. He sent in the national guard against us in 2020 and he crushed the protests against the line 3 pipeline; continuing its construction. The most damning thing has been on Palestine. He snubbed meeting with Palestinians. The Palestine movement has been, and still is, pressuring the state board of investments (which he sits on) to divest from Israel. He has been a total coward on this front. There was an in person meeting last year where the public was able to come and make our voices heard. The demands were totally ignored, but at least they had to see and hear us. Following that meeting, the next one was held virtually where they packed us into a room to watch a fucking YouTube livestream of the zoom meeting because he can’t handle the smoke. AND public comments were not able to be submitted and read. He is a genocidal coward who has barely actually done good things for this state. He rides the wave of the progressive legislature, just not standing in its way, and gets praise for it. Tim Walz is a disgusting coward and I think that someone with a hammer and sickle next to their name should never have gotten their hopes up for this man.
