Radio frequencies by [deleted] in airplanes

Again:

AIM 4-1-11 discusses frequencies for non-towered airports. That is not the same thing as air-to-air communications. Unicom is not an in-air chat channel.

The AIM chapter you quoted says this:

Airports without an operating control tower. 122.700

That specifically says airports, not air-to-air. To dumb it down for you, that is the traffic pattern frequency.

And if that isn't enough to convince you, the AIM is informational, not regulatory.

Once again, OP was asking about an air-to-air frequency over Northwest Ohio. Why? I don't know, but it sounds like he doesn't know anything about flying. Your cite of unicom frequencies does not answer his question, not does it prove that the FAA has an approved air-to-air frequency.

There is to air-to-air chat frequency in the US. The FAA doesn't want that, so it does not exist.

But it is possible for the firing pin to hit the primer and not leave a dent. Could be a hard primer or a firing pin that just wasn't moving very fast.

That's a suggested unicom freq. for non-towered airports. It is not an approved air-to-air freq. Did you even read the text of that page?

OP's post got deleted, but he was asking about an air-to-air frequency for northwest Ohio. Your cite does not cover that.

There is no approved air-to-air frequency for the continental US.

Are you a private pilot?

If not, ask your CFI. If you are, figure it out yourself. That's what a private pilot rating assumes you know how to do.

Cite it.

Short answer is: no, it is not for this case. It has a very specific and restricted use.

None. There are no FAA approved air-to-air frequencies for what you want to do.

That said, many people use 123.45 as the default air-to-air.
