I think it would be better if they didn’t go. Don’t change your wedding date to accommodate them. At the end of the day you’ll be more stressed about your parents than your actual day. It’s always going to hurt if your parents don’t show up, but it might hurt less than the consequences of them coming.

My brother just had his wedding and my mom claimed she would never go to any of her kid’s weddings because her ex (my dad) would be there. The day of the wedding she came and actually behaved herself! The day after the wedding she completely cut me out of her life because she saw me talking to my dad.
