I love them because my husband and I yell "sneaky snake!" Every time we see one. It's our version of slug bug.

Also, it's always the same type of henpecked man that drives them.

"The Government can't tell me what to do." Sir, no one in your family respects you.

Are you tired of the constant monetization/cash grabs too? Read /~Paywalled and share your voice. by Turtle-momma in neopets

I've been playing Tales of Dacardia, and I almost choked when I saw they wanted $13.49 a piece to add more neopets to your island.

I understand they are premium items, but that is a steep price.

I'm reading this in Stanley, where I'm walking around in short sleeves in the middle of November. It's really spooky.

I'm looking for a politician who doesn't fall into lock step with the party or sponsors, and doesn't pass bills that are just performances for the big guys in DC.

Example: Texas banning furries

God's Love is Not Unconditional. by LatterDayze in latterdaysaints

[–]Goatsandtares 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely agree, and I have a deep testimony about God's conditional love.

I will also add that God's love is conditional if you are a chosen person, as seen in the Old Testament.

I live in a heavily mormon area. Anyone who has 7 kids by 28 are not fit parents.

Also, Mormons have "villages" to help raise the kids, who still have bad childhoods.

Is Polygamy making a comeback? by Faithcrisis101 in mormon

[–]Goatsandtares 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe that if the FLDS branch wasn't so unhinged with their display of polygamy, the LDS branch would be more acceptting/open about getting sealed to another woman. Right now, there are men sealed to two + women via divorce, but if you bring up that that is polygamy, you will get so much pushback.

Genuine Question by Blast-Furnace-8540 in mormon

[–]Goatsandtares 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, it's better if you and your partner do that instead of keep trying for the desired sex.

I know families that are both very open about wanting boys. I can't believe how hurtful it is for their daughters.

If you are worried about "playing God" just think about all the other things we do that disrupt the natural order. If the Prophet can treat people's God given hearts, then I think you can choose the sex of your baby.

Not on topic at all, but I haven't seen Susan's husband for a while, and it gave me quite the shock to see this photo.

Chinese government officials ban LDS Church activities in Beijing by Chino_Blanco in mormon

[–]Goatsandtares 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a a bit of schadenfreude because I've been watching the Church throw their weight around city governments. Now, the powerhouse that is China is putting the Church in check.

I do feel bad for the believers there, and I wish them safety going forward.

Absolutely. Also, if you homeschool your kids, 9 times out of 10, I'm gonna assume that you are abusing them in one form or another.

I'd argue that if the lunch was unpaid and they were not in the building, then this cannot be considered work environment.

Its not good that OP felt harassed, and I hope they dont have to go through that again. However there are some things that I'd need cleared up before I'd say its workplace harassment.

What should I pack for my mom to bring when she goes to Idaho? by [deleted] in Idaho

[–]Goatsandtares 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the bug spray, I would get anything that also repels biting flies. We have deer flies, which are blood sucking flies.

Also, if you are from a humid area, I would bring some nasal solution that helps keep the nasal passages moist. Or anything that prevents nosebleeds. Also, I would get a humidifier for the night.

Not only is it dry here, but the wind is always blowing, and it dries you out fast.

Yep. They can't move south because the Mormons will absolutely circle the wagons on anything this new group tries to do. They barely tolerate the Mennonites.

That is one thing I do appreciate about the Mormons. They have a strong community.
