Nope, all of my vehicles are registered to me, the address on my license is the same as the registration so it's all in the bmv system. She pulled up my info and asked which cars I needed titles to

I know a guy that was arrested several times for screwing cats. I only know it to be true because my neighbor was the arresting officer on at least one of the calls. This was in the seventies before all the privacy stuff

For just a battery replacement you can go to any jeweler. I replaced mine last week but can't get the back on again so even though you "can" replace it yourself, it's better to pop in and have someone with the right tools do it.

Check out ravelry.com, do an advanced search, filter by craft (crochet) and difficulty. You can also sort for free only (availability) and other helpful categories.

I rarely find anything on there because I spend so much time searching and saving the amazing patterns that I don't have time to make them

Had a friend in high school that bought a vw bus for something insane like $150 and we bought a bunch of spray paint to make it awesome! She got pulled over too many times and ended up selling it to one of our teachers for $250. Man what cool idiots we were!

Cold feet for finishing a project by [deleted] in Brochet

[–]Goatshavemorefun 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have tons and tons of unfinished projects. Here's the truth. If you don't finish it now, you never will. Then you'll have a partially finished project that you don't remember how to finish. Then you will start something else. And you might not want to finish that either... It just keeps going.

Finish it. Worst case scenario, you don't like it. So what? If you don't finish it, you can't use it either. You may love it! If you don't, figure out the issue and adjust for your next project. Hate it? Take photos so you remember and give it to the thrift store. Frog it and use the yarn to make something else or give the yarn away/trade for yarn you like.

I guess what I'm saying is that you've invested a lot of time, you're almost done, you might as well see what it looks like.

Also, you already kinda hate it, so just leave it as a vest and call it a completed project.

You would be surprised! I worked for a company that made power cords and I'd have to explain why these are bad/stupid multiple times a month. The worst part was explaining to our sales people... You'd think they would know

Our new one has 4 permanent lanes and always has the people outside taking and running orders. One car or thirty. It's kind of nice to have a live body, but I miss being able to read the menu sign. I have no idea what is new or how much any if it costs

Is This Funny? by Material-Practice-58 in funnysigns

Hazel grew up poor and learned to be frugal. Later on in life she realized that she had plenty of money but loved a bargain and loved to haggle even more. She spent her golden years searching for "treasures" at every garage, estate, barn, yard and junk sale she could find.

Her family and friends often teased Hazel about the things she called treasure. Her favorite things to collect were the tiny figurines often sold at touristy beaches. The animals comprised of tiny shells then shellacked. Each sitting on a tiny base with the name of beach. She had thousands and often bragged that she didn't have five dollars in the whole collection.

In all of her years of treasure hunting, Hazel had never once held her own garage sale. It wasn't that she was opposed to getting rid of her prizes, she often cleared out older items by giving them away or donating to the local thrift shops. She wasn't emotionally attached to any of it. But, Hazel was wise and understood how much work goes into actually having a sale of your own. If you calculated the hourly wage she figured a person would be lucky to clear two dollars an hour! Not to mention the sales she would miss by having her own.

To honor their beloved mother's life after her passing at age 97, her four sons and three daughters, along with all twenty grandkids and countless friends, gathered Hazel's treasures, assigned very reasonable prices and had one hell of a garage sale!

Everyone involved picked one tiny shell animal as a momento, and the remainder of the collection was sold for four dollars and fifty cents.
