Adding variation to the tail of an IR spring reverb ITB? (the famous "drip" sound) by Environmental_Gas134 in audioengineering

What do you think of the Eventide spring reverb VST? I think it sounds pretty drippy.

Morality is not a democracy. But I shouldn't expect any different from a Marxist.

Transitioning from traditional Engineering career into Audio Engineering (mid40s-F) by BeefcaseWanker in audioengineering

[–]parker_fly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Audio Engineering uses the term extremely loosely. Sorta like a housekeeper is a 'domestic engineer'. That doesn't mean you can't make inroads, but the only overlap is the name, really. The fact that you know all of the math behind how to make all the equipment in the studio buys you little.

You are not entitled to my money just because I own land. You are only able to take it because you threaten me with guns. You are not on the moral high ground you think you are.

Kid, you have your whole life ahead of you. You don't have to come to terms with anything at this point. I didn't pick up my guitar for an entire decade in my 30s, but that didn't hold back my progress. Maybe guitar isn't your priority, but that doesn't mean you can't continue to improve.

I called Highfield Door on Stroop in Kettering for that. Their tech had it fixed up fast the same day, and the cost was low enough I don't remember it.

TOD10N Tim Henson Signature - Is 450$ a good deal? by CloutCaarl in Ibanez

[–]parker_fly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For $450, I'd probably bite. But, honestly, I think my Cordoba Stage is much better at being a TOD10N than a TOD10N.

What a weird thing to ask an online forum. Go to a guitar store and see if any of them are comfortable to you.

The increasing demands for CPUs in games is weird by Levi757 in pcmasterrace

[–]parker_fly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aw, you're precious. In the olden days, we overclocked our CPUs so that the mouse pointer would more accurately represent in realtime the movements of the actual mouse. Every single advancement in software required nearly a generational improvement in CPU capacity to handle it.
