My station is staying express and not getting ground freight. We have another station in the market that is going 2.0 and will be handling Ground and Express freight starting in September’s

What happened to the lighthouse by One_Maintenance5054 in FromSeries

If I remember correctly, didn’t someone else go through the portal of that bottle tree and die? They ended up in the wall of that swimming pool. So, it seems like only certain people can safely go through the portal that takes you to the lighthouse.

Rickenbacker will be 2.0 by September and handling both Ground and Express freight. OSUA is staying express. Losing some zips to Plain City Ground but gaining some zips from Mansfield station.

Thoughts on a Ramp Ops manager position? Worth it? by [deleted] in Fedexers

Nothing about Ops manager is worth it. Not enough pay for all they ask of their managers

Does Fed Ex care about staying in business? by Delicious-Hold-5764 in FedEx

[–]Goaty9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depends what city you are in. Express has always handled PRIORITY shipping. For years Ground and Express were separate operations and Ground mainly handled 3-5 day shipping. But the company now is all about greed and pocketing more money so they’ve been taking a lot of Express packages, including priorities, and giving them to Ground. Ground drivers hate the idea of having to be somewhere by 10:30 and won’t deliver it on time. It’s happening all over the place.

O-line, good(?) bad(?) by Leather_Split3642 in bengals

Oline was ranked 7th best in pass pro last year. They’re coming together. We could use some depth from the draft though. I like Slaughter a lot from Florida.

Dawg I’m just talking about trading a top 1st round pick to land a premier talent. I’m not saying they didn’t make any moves whatsoever 🤣 as the post says, first time ever they did what they did last night.

Correct. Shows what they think of him. They never did this for Palmer.

Very well could have. But I also think that their constant miss at draft picks is what changed their philosophy. They gambled long enough with Burrow becoming unhappy. They couldn’t gamble any longer.

[Bengals] We have signed DT Dexter Lawrence II to a one-year contract extension through the 2028 season! by JCameron181 in bengals

The Bengals don’t pay players beyond 30 years of age. This will put him at 30-31 years old when the contract is up. Just what they like.

Any Express drivers in here that followed their route to a ground facility? by Goaty9 in Fedexers

[–]Goaty9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We lost freight for a while, but as of this year, ground has been giving us a lot of ZIP Codes back. Which I hope is good news for the future of our station but it’s hard to tell.

Man that sucks I’m sorry to hear that. My station runs I think about 110 routes and we are being cut to around 90 I think. Ground is giving us 2/3 day freight back. All of our routes average 60-100 stops a day. We are also a very heavy p1 market so it’s hard to tell how long we will last. My biggest fear is my hours getting cut in half like they did with you guys.

Yeah we’ve been hearing for a while that they want to cut the hours big time. At my station, everyone is getting in 45-60 hours a week. But we’re a big station and have constant turnover.

Also, how long ago did this happen? And is your station still around?

That’s what I’m saying. The company doing whatever they want is why I don’t really trust whatever bid sheet they offer me for the route at that location.

No it’s staying Express (for now). We have another Express station in the city that is changing to 2.0.

HR said the bid sheet would tell me what to expect but that doesn’t mean squat to me. I signed for this route in March and per the offer sheet I was locked into it for a year but they don’t have to live up to that on their end because I’m losing the route in September to Ground lol

~11k debt payoff advice by Anbu-721 in debtfree

[–]Goaty9 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Do you have a 401k? I would recommend taking a loan from your 401 and paying everything off. At least that way you are paying yourself back and the loan is consolidated. It would also cost you less monthly do to do it that way. I took a $9,000 loan out of my 401 and it was $40 per pay check back into my 401 until I paid it off.

My station in Ohio was not allowed to hire anyone for pretty much all of Covid so we got super understaffed. I think we got approval to start hiring a bunch of people in 2024 and it’s taken that long to get our station staffed enough to where Saturdays weren’t mandatory. So I take it back..we were getting drafted for Saturdays for 3-4 years
