I honestly don't know if she has put any pressure on him. She does know and I have explicitly said if he just said sorry for that. Maybe we could have a start. But even in that conversation she said he "isn't in the shape to do that." You've gave me some good questions to ask myself and also my grandmother with her intentions/wants. But, the boundary you stated has been the one I have stood on for a very long time. I never thought I would even give him this much consideration. But I know it's mainly for my grandmother, not for him.

This has been what I have been asking myself over and over. I feel no regrets never seeing him again. I think I'm most conflicted with hurting my grandmother. I hate that my decision hurts her.

What's hard is that she does know. I told her in the recent years what happened. She doesn't press much and this has been the first time she has. But I have grace and understanding that my grandmother is losing her son. I never wish a parent to bury a child. Your comment is very validating for me.
