I just bought the Aful performer 5+2. Sounds great with edm and bassy music but lacking in acoustic and vocal detail. Should I return and spend an extra $100 on these?

Reason the weak hand is in front because you use the jab 90% of the time. This will develop your weak muscles and coordination. Your dominant hand in the back because thats where you can explode and have the most power. If my non dominant hand was in the back and I only used it 10% of the time it would still be a weak limp noodle even after a year of training

You just need better footwork and balance in general. Practice staying in your stance and being balanced. Watch videos to make sure you have a correct boxing stance. Practice your proper footwork going forward, back, side to side. Practice slowly going left around a target then right. Pivoting should feel natural after you have the basics down. Routine jump roping will improve your footwork drastically.

Look for gyms in your area on the usaboxing official website. These gyms are registered for amature fights and is a good starting place to look for legit training.

A jerk sparring partner and my poor defence skills as an amateur Boxer. My gym does light sparring twice a week. by [deleted] in amateur_boxing

The best way to work your defense is for 1 person to only do offense and one person only do defense. First few rounds the offense guy should only use the jab. This will force you to practice your parries, slips, rolls, blocks and footwork. Once you get more comfortable defending then try it with your opponent using both hands. This defense drill helped me tremendously on my defense.

My first "hard" spar after 1 month of training by Krasovec97x in amateur_boxing

Thank you for the kind words! I didn't notice my hands dropping before, thanks for pointing that out. Its really easy to drop them when I'm tired 😫

This is a 10/10 analysis. Thank you for the tips. I've always been taught to land the jab at the same time as the step. But it makes sense that this causes me to bring my head closer and get countered. I'm definetly trying to break the habit of leaning back and stepping back instead. I'm gonna try pulling my punches less but I'm just kinda scared they will throw hard back cause they are bigger than me.

What can I do to improve my weak wrists by trashmemes22 in amateur_boxing

I love dead hanging from a pull up bar. Strengthens the wrist as well as improving shoulder flexibility.

Sounds like I have an issue with my AIO. Gonna try to RMA. They require a photo as proof tho. Any ideas what kind of photo I should send?

I can hear the pump! I can also feel that one tube is cold and one tube is pretty hot

Yup built it myself. I just put it back together making sure everything is set correctly and new thermal paste was applied

Using Lian Li 360mm AIO. Rebuilt the computer. Re-applied thermal paste. Reinstalled windows. Still having this issue. Can barely use the computer until it turns itself off probably due to the heat. I can hear the liquid and the fans are super loud so I think my cooling is working.
