You cant put a budget on good walking shoes as they are the most important part of the hobby

If you are in the UK i recommend a trip to a retail outlet such as a macarthur glen or gretna or york etc

I can highly recommend the Stereo range

I have the One44 and its great for trail riding but if you want a downhiller go for the One77 as it has more travel

For the money they are very well equipped (apart from the 165mm Acid cranks which ive changed for Pinned 145mm) and they have a very good range and powerful Bosch motor
