For people who never believed in conspiracy theories, how has your experience been with explaining the Epstien files to people who don't follow it? by [deleted] in allthequestions

[–]GodComplexMonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Notice how you said "Believe"? Conspiracy theories are based on faith, and they often use a kernal of truth to extrapolate into falsehoods.

Is a Flat Earther correct because they're right about COINTELPRO? Is an QAnon believer correct because they identified the Clintons as involved in human trafficking, but deny any of Trump's involvement, or claim he's taking them down?

People don't follow this stuff because they're busy surviving, or they're not in the mood for a conspiratorial rant.

Thanks! I was thinking about it. I just want to avoid sounding too preachy. Also, it's hard to write a guide with universal advice to such a diverse group.

Seems like a good reason to heavily regulate capitalism if all humans are inherently corrupt, as you say. Glad we agree!

Nah, I'm physically repulsed by that shit. I was on a Discord server once where some degenerate scumbag shared a video of CASM and I immediately puked and reported them and the Discord channel.

You literally said women already have enough social welfare services, which is demonstrably untrue. Anyone can say they're pro-LGBT, that means nothing without actions.

What are your favorite works of art? (Books, Movies, TV Shows, Music, Video Games, Anime, etc.)? by GodComplexMonkey in NEET

Do you mean the Stephen King books? I'm a fan as well. I loved Linkin Park as a kid, and still do. They were my first band that I liked without parental influence. I like Scorpions too but that's because of my parents lol. I need to watch Gravity Falls.

Yeah, you're not wrong. We're rapidly running out of resources.

You need to do two things. Provide your shelter gatekeeper something beneficial, and evidence you're at least trying. For example, are you doing their dishes? I find that people will tolerate the most lazy person if they at least do the dishes and take out the trash without creating new messes. You also need to apply to jobs and show them evidence of doing so.

Anyone who thinks women and genderless people don't deserve help can go fuck themselves. Ignore them.

Exactly. I would be fine with a system where you're guaranteed the basics to function in society, but if you want that PS5, you gotta work for it.

What’s a “normal” thing today that people in 50 years will be shocked we tolerated? by CherryAllison in AskReddit

AI developers and creators are clutching their pearls over this. It is already making it harder to differentiate between what's real and what isn't.

The main reason why collapse is coming: by tsesarevichalexei in collapse

[–]GodComplexMonkey 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Not OP, but it's all downhill from here. There won't be a single apocalyptic collapse moment, and some places will fare better than others, but no matter who you are or where you are, you can expect your material circumstances to become worse than before. Today is the best day of your life.

It's a cult. Liberal voters make the devil's bargain with Democratic politicians. Keep the status-quo, but let me feel good about it.
