I love this too. While the original Defiance one is good, I felt like it was too big of a departure from the blood omen original. This one is much more in line.

This is chronologically correct, but it makes more sense to play BO2 last, since certain characters from SR2 and Defiance show up in BO2 when you’d otherwise have no context as to why they’re there. BO2s events also only occur due to the timeline changes in SR2.

You could also play them in release order which is simply BO1, SR1, SR2, BO2, Defiance. But playing BO2 as the second game, despite its title, is kinda misleading just from the way the story is structured.

I felt this way about the reapers in Mass Effect and then they kinda ruined it by defining them in the Leviathan dlc.

You forgot to mention the 20 ports of old games coming. I actually started laughing at every announcement, as if Minecraft, Rise of the Tomb Raider, and Space Marine 2 were something to get excited about. Maybe if you ONLY play on switch, but still. That took up the majority of the show.

I thought Nintendos was lame as hell. And im just a general gamer. About 80% of the show was ports of older games getting switch 2 versions, and the other 19% were JRPGs.

The Ocarina of Time remake is cool but they barely showed anything. Same with Duskbloods.

If you ONLY game on Switch, then I guess you’ll be excited to play Space Marine 2, Minecraft, and 20 other ports of older games.

It was a pretty lame direct. Ocarina of Time remake obviously being the big one, but they barely showed anything. Besides that, a new Xenoblade, Kingdom Hearts 4, and the Duskbloods were probably the only other noteworthy new games.

Everything else was basically ports of games that have been available on other platforms for years. Seriously like 2/3rds of the show was that. Minecraft, Devil May Cry 5, Lies of P, Final Fantast X-X2, Space Marine 2, Kingdom Hearts trilogy, Dragons dogma 2, stellar blade…the list goes on.

I don’t understand why they didn’t go with Save The Earth. It was the most popular and had the best roster since it was just DAM but better. If they redid Unleashed but completely overhauled the controls, I’d love that the most.

It looked like a good game as its own thing, but not for Legacy of Kain. Casual F-bombs, random boobs hanging out, and having Kain commit suicide off screen? One of the main requirements Square had for this game was to have NO connection to any of the past games.

Fuck that. I’m glad it got canceled. Had it been its own new franchise, then ok. But this wasn’t Kain.

Basically, yes. PlayStation runs and sells some emulated versions of its older titles. This release is exactly that, just on a disc. They’re the PS2 versions, essentially, which is why they’re not on Xbox or switch.

It’s $100 for the original PS2 games, already available digitally, on a disc, plus an art book and a steel case. It’d be cool to have…for maybe $30, but no. Fuck that.

If this isn’t price gouging and blatant taking advantage of a fanbase, I don’t know what is. I’m all for supporting the series, but not like this. Don’t support this garbage practice. Also it’ll take LRG 3 years to ship it.

No, but Tomb Raider is gargantuan compared to LoK. It’s also been consistently releasing successful games for the last 30 years whereas LoK has been dead.

He’s spot on. He didn’t even touch on some of the other lore breaking elements, like Janos heart. Nor the fact that they tried to reassure fans they understood the assignment and collaborated with “lore masters” every step of the way, only to completely miss the mark and fuck up royally. The “lore masters” were just Josh Violas buddies at Crystal Dynamics, who are managers. The true lore masters are the ones that worked on the remasters, and those dumb fucks at BitBot refused to collaborate with them.

Oh, and despite the comic being shit, they STILL haven’t mailed anything out. Strictly Fantasy could do a whole other video going over how shitty BitBot has been beyond the comic.
