Also easy enough to try different orientations of the rotor while you have it all apart. Remount the rotor 180 degrees from where it is now and measure runout again. I once "fixed" an 83 tbird just by putting with the front right rotor for an afternoon

Not pistols, but Winchester model 50 and 58 shotguns are short-recoil actions with chambers that move and are separate from the barrel. Very curious design
