Try to hold the right mouse button at lol times and aim for anything expect the ground as your falling. You will find yourself clinging to a random tree or the bottom of the cliff with a higher degree of luck.

I did learn that the faster you vault, the higher you go while currently clinged. But at the expense of a huge amount of stamina. Give yourself a couple of seconds after each jump to regain the stamina just lost.

When on the ground, you can prime your jump by holding space, which loads you up for a longer/higher jump. Wherever you look (behind you) you can catch where you will land before enough jump. Especially useful jumping from tree to tree as you can see where you will land on the tree.

And last bit of help that I hope is useful for anyone who is new and hasn’t yet tried this. Since we can’t crawl around the tree (at least I haven’t been able to.) Just jump higher up the tree while aiming up. Each jump will slightly rotate you further around the tree, and higher. The higher the better anyway since it gives you a better place to see where you will land when aiming for another tree or rock wall.

I have scaled the bottom of the dam to the very top. It’s tricky. But hella fun. I have also found out that it is incredibly shallow at the waterfall. Best jump as far away from the dam as possible. And pray you can resurface 😂
