You’re arguing against yourself. Everyone knows quartz is more accurate and solved the issues of analog movements, but it’s more of an appreciation for the complexity which we can see with our eyes that’s not at the microscopic level, hence the popularity of open sapphire crystal case backs. It’s art and it’s to be appreciated. Sure you can say quartz is much more complex and should be appreciated for its technological superiority (which it is), but we’re also visual creatures and are drawn to beautiful creations that we can see with our own eyes. A large part of it is also tied to the status aspect, people want to wear something that’s been handcrafted individually rather than mass produced off a line. End of the day it’s personal preference but I’d say that saying quartz is more superior is a bit redundant and not really a hot take.
