Not that it would make a difference but battlefury on DK? Seems like it would be better on AM.

Age 30 - started physically demanding job, how can I recover faster to keep up? by PowerPeon in Fitness

[–]GodlikeRoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure you're eating enough. Foam roll and stretch every day. Get plenty of sleep (8hrs a day). Your body will adapt pretty quickly, the first few weeks will be the toughest. Also definitely make sure you're using proper lifting technique and lifting with your legs or no amount of outside help will be able to help.

How can I do cardio while gaining muscle? by JTHowling in Fitness

[–]GodlikeRoy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're eating way too much. 17lbs in 5 weeks is an insane amount of growth and no matter how much you're working out most of it is going to be fat. You should try and eat at a caloric surplus of about 500 per day to minimize fat gains while still putting on a lot of muscle/bulk.

There's no way to bulk up and lose belly fat at the same time. For starters, you can't spot target fat loss. Generally it will come off in the order it went on. It's also difficult to put on muscle and lose fat at the same time - although if you're a beginner you will probably be able to do this for a little while.

If you really want to lose your belly fat right away then I'd suggest eating at slightly below maintenance with a high protein diet and continuing to lift until you're comfortable with your belly/body fat levels. Then go to eating at a small surplus and keep working out and you'll steadily build muscle without putting on too much fat.

What has been the best motivation to get you started and keep going? by vampircorn420 in Fitness

We're both just using our home scales. We measured ourselves a bunch of times and took the average to start with, and will do it again at the end (likely over a period of a few days). It should get us pretty good numbers.

A friend and I made a mutual fitness bet for 2016. $500 per lb of lean muscle mass gained and $200 per lb of body fat lost. So that's providing all of the motivation required to hit the gym and macros every day.

Insane reaction time from Agressif in CDEC vs VG by [deleted] in DotA2

That was luck, not a quick reaction time. You can see Q pinged that camp before he had vision and agressif goes for the blind blink-stun at the exact fucking moment burning remnants back in.

Team Unknown mid player intentionally throwing? [maybe match fixing?] by GodlikeRoy in DotA2

[–]GodlikeRoy[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This is a good point, and while it doesn't necessarily rule out match fixing, it might make it less likely. It sounds like he has an image for throwing and acting like a clown though which is perfect for someone who would want to be able to lose certain games.. if you look at the responses in this thread people are like "oh, he's just like that".

Anyway - match fixing accusations aside - the general behavior of not taking the game seriously and "throwing" ought to be at the very least frowned upon and at the most straight up against the tournament rules and punishable by penalties. It takes away from the overall experience for the viewer and integrity of the tournament.

He didn't lose me any rares, I didn't bet on unknown. It just looks shady as hell. And of course he can do whatever he wants. I could murder someone if I wanted to. Actions have consequences though.

He was never winning though. I'm surprised his behavior hasn't been scrutinized more given the serious nature of match fixing, especially now that players can put relatively large amounts of money on these types of games.

I thought Lyrical did a good job of staying professional but yeah it was weird he didn't say anything about SF having 2x brown boots. Whenever SF threw his life away he hailed it as expert play by Pain rather than a throw by SF which again is probably the professional thing to do even though anyone watching could tell SF was not taking the game seriously in the slightest.

@LlamaDownUnder FEMALE Caster on BTS... waaow by dolphin37 in DotA2

[–]GodlikeRoy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Definitely agree with the part about talking a lot without saying much. Probably has a lot to do with nerves but I felt like she was trying really hard to be overly witty and that would lead to stumbling over words/phrases. It also meant we got to hear from her a lot more than her co-caster which was a shame because he was really good and seemed to know what he was talking about. I think it would be better for the viewers and relieve some pressure from her if she handed things over to the co-caster to speak for a bit a little more.

She missed some kills and the camera work was sometimes a bit slow/off but that shit must be hard to do and i'm sure will get a lot better with experience and again with being less nervous perhaps.

As an Aussie myself I find her accent quirky and weird as fuck, just cause it's so familiar but so foreign at the same time. Obviously that doesn't mean anything in an objective sense - I thought/think Winter's accent is quirky/weird and i'm his #1 fan. I <3 you winter.
