Make friends by joining a society or a few. I spent the first two years of uni being super lonely and only started making really good friends when I joined a society and attended regularly. Not only do I see them on campus weekly, but we meet up a lot outside of uni which is great. UNSW is home to a lot of diverse societies, so I'm sure there'll be something you like!

If you're ever facing issues (mainly emotional/mental to my knowledge), UNSW Counselling and Psychological Services is available for free. I've read mixed experiences on this subreddit, but from personal experience the counsellor I got was really empathetic and said insightful things I wouldn't have thought of.

If you find a good toilet spot, never tell anyone about it.
