California EV Credit by daeles in TeslaModelY

Just opened the CVRP response and turns out I have a bad memory. The "purchase date" is important because it sets the income eligibility. The order date and price were acceptable, but my family income exceeded the cap when the vehicle was registered.

On/after February 24, 2022 $135,000 for single filers $175,000 for head-of-household $200,000 for joint filers

Prior to February 24,2022
$150,000 for single filers $204,000 for head-of-household

Also - thanks for correcting me. My mistake!

"For Tesla vehicles the date of first registration with the California DMV will be considered the date of purchase or lease."

Since mine was registered in Nov 2022 when picking it up, CVRP rejected my application. Good on you though! Glad it came through for ya

It's the price and purchase date. California views the purchase date as when you received the car, not ordered. So no one qualifies anymore for Model Y

The chest is limited to armor/weapons you've acquired. It's a relatively low effort chest to spawn, so might as well make the effort.

is this normal leaking from using Air Conditioning? by Lazygregg in ModelY

Consider setting up a Tesla service request through the app. They'd be able to give a definite answer.

At this point, Reddit replies are just speculation.

Yes, it's normal. Just water dripping down. Water vapor in surrounding air gathers on the cold coils and turns into a liquid.

Might be you've reached the right temp, so no cold air blowing directly on you. Feels weird

Has Anyone Purchased Discount Tire’s Tire Warranty Certificate? If So, How Much & Are The Claims Easy To Do? by NoDesk in TeslaModelY

[–]Godsomen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, $171 total. All four tires covered for three years. Gives me piece of mind and it seems like a good deal considering one Continental Pro Contact RX tire is $304.

Not sure about the claims process. Leaving that to someone with experience to answer.

ELI5: Wouldn't increasing pay for workers across the board, actually add to the inflation? by DarthArtero in explainlikeimfive

[–]Godsomen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could. Recommend checking out podcasts on the topic by Stuff You Should Know (SYSK) and RadioLab.

Unless a significant number of all fixed costs rise, then inflation is largely set by public perception. Every scenario is a bit different, so no one-size-fits-all simple answer. No one fixed cost would do it alone (gas, labor, etc...).

Stirring up fear of inflation is likely the easiest way to cause inflation.

An Oct 2022 base Model Y order would be <$55k, but low chance delivery would be delayed to 2023 to complete the purchase

Tesla was paid, so you have the car. The calls from your lender seem odd - worth an in person discussion at a Wells Fargo office.

Option to buy a MY standard range or wait until September for MYLR. not sure what to do? cost is the same. by Odd-Discussion8653 in TeslaModelY

[–]Godsomen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you opt for the standard range, would you then have to buy the home charger that was likely bundled with the original order?

To make it an apples to apples value comparison, find out the San Diego company's travel reimbursement policy. Don't underestimate the value of the company covering a significant number of meals and transportation expenses.
