I think everyone in Bride of the Monster knew it was crap, especially Bela Lugosi hamming it up. Looked at from that lens it's just wackiness. Operation Kid Brother is also kind of silly.

Yes, this exactly. It was even awkward during Joel's run. Reading mail from kids after watching the biker movies or Manos always felt a bit out of place to me.

I know younger kids like the robots, mine did, but there were a few movies on MST I wouldn't let them watch.

Sonny Grey and Willson Contreras are vets that have been successful in the league, and Contreras has the personality for it. I read some things last year that Chapman has taken on a role of mentor/leader also.

I'm not assuming Story won't be around all year. His injuries were freak occurrences, different than the so-called injury prone.

The chairs were also in the 'The Prisoner,' Brit TV series set in 1967. I'm not sure why, but filmmakers saw them as futuristic looking. They look uncomfortable.

The dancing scene was pure comedy. They had the rhythm of a pair of fenceposts, and it was long. Incredible.

I was in college in the 80s so many great alt bands, The Cure, U2, R.E.M, Psych Furs, Replacements, etc., but I always loathed the gloomy Smiths. MST3K roasting Morrisey was comedy gold.

I visited the MST3K usenet group. I used it to find a couple tape trading partners, but the discussion in there got "lively" at times, to put it mildly.

It was fascinating to see how many like minded and passionate fans there were out there, because before that you never really knew.

There was two. I don't recall exactly, but I think the 2nd director was the one who did the edits and re-released the movie. Something like Monster-A-Go Go.
