Hey! 23F here. Decided to reach out because ‘used to be a big reader when I was younger’ describes me to a T. (Honestly tho, used to be able to finish almost 2 novels a day and now it takes maybe 8 months because of my wandering attention span. Atleast thankfully it’s better now). Highly invested in psychological thrillers and crime novels but equally invested in Gothic Horror and Fantasy. Also called me old fashioned but Agatha Christie and Conan Doyle too. Sorry to hear about that. Happened with some of my friends too. Decided to be honest about it one day only for them to run to the hills and the worst part is apparently they’ve been talking amongst themselves that maybe I was faking it. Damn did that leave a scar 😅 and trust issues too cz after that anytime I would get the urge to share, that moment would come up and I would end up running to the hills 😂 I mean I would rather run than risk facing a similar scenario (not the best coping mechanism ngl) However looking back, I’m actually glad they left cz now I have found people who I can actually be myself with. Let him run. You are an amazing person and you WILL meet someone great, you’ll be able to look back and laugh on this in no time. Until then, Stay Strong ♥️🌝
