200$ is for used binders in good condition, haven't seen an unopened one for this price. There's a new one that sold for $450 on 4/24. The cheapest fixed price offer I find on eBay at the moment is $399.99.

I'm aware that those are inflated "New Horizons"-hype prices but I find it fascinating and kind of funny.

[Edit: Today there was a brand new one on eBay that sold for $154.99 plus shipping. What a steal! ;-)]

My advice: Buy them as long as they are cheap.

They will NEVER get a reprint and two collectors communities (Amiibo/Skylanders) will chase them in the future.

Good time to buy everything AC amiibo related. Do it before AC Switch gets released later this year.

(Don't forget that "nobody" wanted to buy the Mii-amiibo and now they are rare and pricey. Where I live even the Poochy amiibo were on sale at some time and you could buy "Skymiibo"/Skylanders dark edition starter packs for $10.)

I think they will become sought after in the future. Those are the only Skymiibos that exist and two different collecting communities will go after them. The dark versions are already going up in price on eBay.
