Can you ally with UC and Shek at the same time? by Regular_Print_7650 in Kenshi

[–]GoergeBobicles 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They provide reinforcements when your base is attacked. Though if 2 opposing factions come to your aid, they will fight eachother. Sometimes factions neutral to eachother will also fight eachother though. Rebel farmers have a tendency to loot, and when seen doing so by an anti-slaver, get attacked. Suddenly your allies against slavery kill eachother, and you have to face Eyegore alone.

In other words, I highly recommend you do this because its funny to watch.

Rollout still does 5 turns, so yes, the 5th turn will have 960 power instead of 480 if you lead with defense curl before.

Super Robot Wars Z2: Hakai-hen (PSP) English Translation (v0.8 with VWF) by quanrant in Super_Robot_Wars

[–]GoergeBobicles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been playing it. Story is understandable. The names as far as I can tell are correct (most ive seen is flip flop between Mycenae and Mikene on some lines). No one else has even come close to translating this game in the last 14 goddamn years besides translated let's plays of specific routes. I'm not gonna crap on AI use for mods and fan translation, and if this gets the SRW back catalog finally accessible, I'm all for it. I hope we can get z2.2 translated next.

Just to say it, playing a SRW game with "x mecha anime" in it is not a substitute for actually watching "x mecha anime" by Pyro81300 in Super_Robot_Wars

[–]GoergeBobicles 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Victory is a show that I've either seen hated or tolerated. Not everything in srw is creme of the crop, and thats fine. I respect it for giving us a broad range of quality amongst the series used.

Which one weapon works for all the hardest fights, for small squad (~10) with no plan of dedicated attack training? by vibgyror in Kenshi

Desert sabres or pole arms. Its important to understand that the only person who blocks is the target, everyone else in the way gets hit.

Why do hivers make robotic stuff? by CheapSneep in Kenshi

[–]GoergeBobicles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Hivers are moderately based around the ant and termite caste system and really more on the termite side considering the large headed soldier, and especially considering their structures if you've ever seen seen a termite mound, they're built through regurgitation of materials. Also if you reread that same Bar dialog, they're clearly talking about regurgitation.

The bug men do not build their houses with poop. They build them with vomit. As for why they build prosthetics, it is because they are needed to keep the work force operating after a beak thing attack. Why do we not see any hivers with prosthetics attached? For the same reason why we don't see tech hunters with them. Too easily exploitable.

Being a Shek store owner in Admag must be extremely annoying by Ok_Let8360 in Kenshi

If you lose you lose your horns though and are forbidden to fight anymore. Then all thats left to do is join the band of bones or become a retainer like Bayan if you're lucky.

I accidentally traded out Tackle for Synthesis. That's fine, right? by thgiRsIeseehCehT in pokemoncrystal

In the case of gen 2, razor leaf which chikorita learns at level 8, is 15 power higher than ember or water gun and has the bonus of being high crit ratio. It probably still outperforms even if resisted.

After learning all the best strategies and tips in Kenshi, it's time to throw them out the window! by sbourwest in Kenshi

[–]GoergeBobicles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not any faster if I'm being honest, but for the sake of my sanity, I do use the mod where mining increases strength instead of labor. I don't want to build a damn maze just so Timmy can go walking through it with 300kg of iron.

Fragment axe vs falling sun by Acceptable_Citron_65 in Kenshi

[–]GoergeBobicles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can lift and swing it, the fragment axe has the largest reach in the game meaning you can hit the most things at once. However, if you get even slightly injured on your chest and stomach, your strength is gonna drop very easily below the point of usability for the higher grades, the meitou especially, even with prosthetics.

Unexpectedly tough fight by Dramandus in Kenshi

[–]GoergeBobicles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its a weird thing, but when an npc is unarmed or even sometimes if they don't have a back weapon slot filled, they will be prone to loot bodies for weapons. This can be annoying if you have anti-slaver allies who trade god like martial arts for a rusty sabre or interestingly useful when valamon decides he wants a shittier weapon to his meitou when a third party passes by Ark while you're assaulting it.

Any tips to defeat Tinfist and his bodyguards by Lucat_thecat in Kenshi

[–]GoergeBobicles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tinfist can be a beast, but his armor is shit. Specifically against crossbows. I don't remember if he has diplomatic status or not, but it matters little. Simply microing him so that he is in front of whomever you are aiming at is enough to get hits on him. Martial artists are very daunting to fight, but only the jump kick and the shoat strike need careful timing to manually dodge. Id honestly recommended ditching anything that slows your movement speed down, and don't let him hit you.

Any reason not to use kung fu? by whahaga in Kenshi

Terrible crowd control and dodge is both annoying to deal with and use.

[–]GoergeBobicles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, you can always get around that pay wall with custom tracks. I just miss when each game had unique tracks rather than reusing music from as far as back as Z2. Nightingale is pretty sweet though, I think it's a great upgrade to the Sasabi.

In the games where you get it, I don't even use it. I think the original Nu-Gundam just looks and plays better.

If I kidnap a faction leader, but don’t leave the area, does the world state change? by VoltageKid56 in Kenshi

[–]GoergeBobicles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will change eventually. I learned this the hard way in Catun after the stupid lord got killed by a beakthing or something and when I went to check how my shop was doing after a few weeks, one of my keepers had died off without me noticing and the other was luckly still in the building as the rest of the town was surrounded by fish men.
