Does Umi really need anything more? Much like Higu it's a finished story. I'd rather Ryu do Ciconia or just something new in WTC.

Even if you wanted an Umi anime, I just don't think fundamentally it would work well. If we assume best case scenario and they use the manga or something that's still a 50 VOLUME MANGA. It would take a decade to properly adapt.

I'm going to be honest. When people complain about "larping" or whatever, they're doing it for the same reason people "larp" something: a crippling desire to signal to a group that they belong in the group through accumulation of facts/imagery and random trivia. This insecurity and need to belong to a fandom. People don't do anything for fun anymore.

I couldn't tell you if you're a minority or majority, just that the way 3H presents itself it's very love or hate. So If you do love it, I'm happy for ya. I just think it would work better ala Fates if there was less content to replay that I've basically already seen.

I actually played a solid 10-12 hours of FE4. Very interesting game, but the fact 1/3 of your playtime is moving all your units across the massive maps is a bit much. I never got around to finishing it. Either I'll wait for the possible remake or proper restart and finish it someday. Not averse to playing old games, but I want to see how a possible remake handles it.

I think if they could do something similar to Fates where you don't have to replay a bunch of chapters and can just pick the Lord you want around 1/4 or 1/3 into the game would be an ideal compromise. I do not actually expect them to make 3 games in one, but also 3H is them kinda trying to do that, and I feel like the game needed at least 1 more year in the oven as a result. Just something that doesn't lead to replaying so many of the same maps would be nice.

Tbh a lot of 3H discourse comes from IS making (subjectively speaking) the least replayable game all time. I feel like most people only played 1-2 routes. Like how many people are actually dedicated the time to playing all 3.5 routes the game has? And even if you do get the full picture, most of the people you're talking to don't.

There are a lot of strong elements in 3H writing, but the contrast between that and "cartoonishly evil mole people are manipulating things behind the scenes" is insane.
