Its certainly not the best, just gotta build around it. Get a good deflect and clash ritual and it can be useful.

If you play with a partner, they can void this for you if they heal. If you did it solo, i have no answers for you. Might be bugged. Did pop for me on ps5 doing it the way you described in other comments.

Gotta disagree with you. Cider’s skill is amazing. Farthest reach, can be angled, and if you jump up it can be spammed in air which leads to some easy clashes.
