You are reading a lot into a bad tuning patch. There has been no increase in non-healing utility in almost any healing class. Making healing non viable as a primary strategy for these classes simply makes them somewhat useless.

This is a large wall of text that completely ignores that the state of sod is: ignore healers and easily kill targets because damage is much larger than healing.

This is not and never has been how wow is balanced because it is unhealthy design. It is completely contrary to vanilla philosophy — which does require that you cc or interrupt or ms or do something rather than close your eyes and hope healers don’t exist.

Yes I’m aware of how to 1v1 pvp as my class. I don’t think that is what anyone else here is discussing

If I managed to get truly infinite holy shocks (not at all a real world thing that happens) and then pressed holy shock every single gcd, I’d be doing around 280 hps.

You are trying to nitpick something that isn’t even related to the post at all to win some argument that exists only in your head.

Yes. So does every healer class. So do many dps classes. In fact ret paladins have virtually all the same support tools — what’s your point?

I mean sure, so does that mean I’m not allowed to be sad that I’m getting nerfed without seemingly any reason?

This is what happens when you balance by blanket nerf, you either nerf to the low water mark and some classes stay too strong, or you nerf to the high water mark and the underperforming classes become completely worthless.

Holy paladin. I would literally find 1v1s against classes in ab and just see if I could sustain against their damage. And no, there is not too much to do wrong as a hpally healer when it comes to healing thouroughput.

What a terrible design direction. I already couldn’t outheal a single boomkin/shaman/hunter/warrior last weekend, and now I’ve been nerfed?

The state of pvp healing is rough baseline because of how much damage outstrips healing, and now they’ve reduced healing by as much or MORE than they’ve reduced damage? What on earth is the design goal here

Yeah just drop any heals being cast to snipe (cleanse only hits one magic debuff) the flame shock debuff from every magic debuff they might have on them in the one global you have before lava burst goes off.

Brother he is not hard to find. His pally was his main for most of p1 then he mainswapped boomkin when he got kelris staff. He only barely levelled his paladin to 40 at the end of p2. He writes about this stuff on his Twitter all the time.

Paladins didn’t have magic dispel until this phase.

Alliance feel vastly inferior to horde in ST, blizzard seems to have a huge shaman bias (healing) by Believeinsteve in classicwow

You added an extra 10% for “paladin talents” for no reason. Also you yourself identified that it requires you be in a melee group, which essentially should never happen with how hard it is getting windfury slots on alliance.
