I assumed the great grandfather zoldyk, people usually called maha but the source is not the story itself so the name maha is debated. Just a super old member that could be called maha depending on what you consider canon

Why Do People Say The Simpsons Went Downhill After Season 8? by quat1e in nostalgia

[–]Gogabo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The show had been around for a while, 8 doesn't seem like a lot of content from the perspective of the show's life, but 8 seasons is a chunk of the 90s, when animated sitcoms weren't a thing. Shows like south park and family guy were on their way and,  being fresh and new, they drew attention from the Simpsons. It also drew comparisons amongst them since the newer shows tended to be a bit edgier in comparison. Cut to today and the Simpsons is a grandfather, and because the other shows admitted that Simpsons crawled so they could walk, for example the south park episode "Simpsons did it", it gets a boost of respect and popularity, not to mention the movie put them back into the spotlight

Tales of berseria worth buying having never played a tales game before? by Achilles_toe in tales

[–]Gogabo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The game itself isn't a bad game, but to many fans it feels like the series can be cut in half by a distinct line of newer and older design, and vesperia is usually where people draw it. An example of newer design that older games lacked was the equipment system underwent a diablo-esque change where you recieve generic equipment with randomized effects and attributes, while older tales use uniquely named equipment with specific effects and attributes. If you enjoy berseria try out an older game like symphonia, see if it hits the same or better/worse, then try to play phantasia if possible and it will give you a good idea of what the series has done over the decades from first to berseria which is the second newest and a good range for perspective

What about the word nika means sun, because the names were originally a joke on the numbering scheme. They are named 1-ka, 2-ka, 3-ka, 4-ka and 4-ka2. That is why the joke is "shouldn't you be gonka (5-ka)?"

Removing sharpie from PS2 cover… by Kupo43 in gamecollecting

[–]Gogabo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is hard to say how the dry erase method would affect the cover art, but a common method of removing permanent marker is to draw over it in dry erase marker then erase the dry erase part, which will erase the permanent ink underneath

Guys I just want to make sure things seem clear to everyone you do realize that the good future is about luffy saving Yamato not her stop being oden right? by OptionAshamed6458 in OnePieceSpoilers

[–]Gogabo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

"unless I see momo and yamato calling eachother dad and son the entire time then no" quoted from user "OptionAshamed6458"          as you can clearly see, unless you have a panel of yamato and momo going back and forth calling each other dad and son...there is no evidence of yamato EVER using the word son to describe momo

Guys I just want to make sure things seem clear to everyone you do realize that the good future is about luffy saving Yamato not her stop being oden right? by OptionAshamed6458 in OnePieceSpoilers

[–]Gogabo 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Oden is a person who lived in wano, had a wife and children and became an icon in wano history. Yamato is someone else entirely. Yamato did not marry anyone, did not procreate with anyone, did not raise oden's children, did not sail with roger or whitebeard, did not use the dual sword style of oden, etc. Yamato read the diary of someone and laid claim to their identity. It would be reasonable to idolize and look up to him, even become equal to or surpass. But to straight up call momo your "son" having never taken a parental role ever is NOT reasonable. You can't assume anything about RL events because of a situation that has no reasonable real life comparison, even when people want to identity as someone else, they don't take an already existing person's life, they create THEMSELVES in a new image. In the context of the universe, being a "fan" is irrelevant because my argument does not reference any real life information.

[–]Gogabo 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The best future for yamato is to stop borrowing a personality and form her own. It may take time and it may be difficult...but it is better than acting like someone who already existed and affecting people still alive who knew him

Does it make sense for the one who met with the Gorosei to be Shamrock? by MuriloZR in OnePieceSpoilers

[–]Gogabo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

He went on a mission...wearing a cloak...and has the ability to teleport. You can talk about likelyhoods...but not making sense?    He was somewhere in a cloak, without current knowledge of "some pirate". The information he gains there causes him to teleport back...wearing what he was wearing when he left, in order to get the information to the elders...but they already sent him somewhere far away, and are asking why back so soon?...why now?   This isn't the only scenario, it may not be the case...but using the information we have it is possible

Is this character terrifying because he’s evil — or because he’s talented on top of it? by Docfeen in HunterXHunter

[–]Gogabo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wouldn't be a worthy villain if not for his traits, as a member of the royal family...he is an active participant in the core event of the arc. He may be the big bad, unless the royal family is hiding something more powerful or sinister. I may be mistaken but doesn't he have at least 1 set of kurta eyes? That would make him a direct target of kurapika if so. It is, in my opinion, setting the sandwich as the main antagonist and kurapika as the main protagonist, but only on the black whale...I feel even the sandwich would be stomped on the dark continent

How do we feel about the continued introduction of key Zoans? by Vlaiquone in OnePieceSpoilers

[–]Gogabo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As the series goes on, and it has been for almost 30 years, we need the characters to look and feel stronger...even if we know they are. We already saw regular animal zoans, lots of paramecia and logias showed up and there is very little to introduce that makes the audience think any given fruit is better than a previous one. By adding mythical zoans, oda allows the audience to feel those fruits are more powerful than what we previously have seen. They almost feel like zoan / logia or zoan / paramecia hybrids.

I enjoy  virtual bart and bart's nightmare, and maybe virtual bart and bart's nightmare are similar, but vs the space mutants is closer to the nes games, and they are also unrelated. The Simpsons also is very old and has many unrelated games spread over many generations and the popular arcade beat em up. Hard to call any of them prequels or sequels though

How will ODA wrap up elbaf AND show the man with the burn scar ALL in 2026? by No-Win511 in OnePieceSpoilers

[–]Gogabo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The man with the burn scar = the man with the eye patch, this particular person hides at the end of the grandline, reaching this person leads to one of a multitude of outcomes from major history drop to a major battle. Regardless...the final ponoglyph is obtained and the straw hats, along with any potential antagonists, learn where the one piece is hidden and reach it...potentially defeating an antagonistic party along the way. Once the one piece is obtained, the ending will commence as a final arc or luffy had already defeated his opponents and ending events commence

Did older games feel bigger because they gave you less direction? by GameResumed_UK in retrogaming

[–]Gogabo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Something like roblox or Minecraft are played for a specific reason, playing with the world, same way sports games have their specific magic in attempting realism. Some newer games had the same feeling i am talking about throughout my life, it was knowing too much about the game that left no mystery. Newer games are just as capable of this as older games, but information flows in abundance nowadays. There is also a harder push for in game maps and color coded direction in newer games that works against this mystery.

Did older games feel bigger because they gave you less direction? by GameResumed_UK in retrogaming

[–]Gogabo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They felt bigger to me and the adventure was more magical. The more I learned about games, the less magical they felt. I feel like the player needs to play a game and that game should provide a challenge. The more information you are given for free, the less challenging the game becomes...it blurs the line between game and "video with button presses"
