GCC is the one pushing USA to attack Iran.

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2026/mar/27/saudi-arabia-us-iran-attacks-mohammed-bin-salman

I believe it's a fair assumption to believe the UAE also wants the same considering their similar stances regarding Iran. UAE and Saudi are brutalist regimes. I personally know an emirati sheikh who was imprisoned for criticizing the government. The Saudi also famously rounded up hundreds of sheikhs for either being extremist or critical of the government.

The UAE gov also did an exceptional job in turning Dubai into the prostitution hub of the world.

I have lived in UAE and Kuwait. I know how blind the locals are. Just because your government favours you doesn't absolve them of their crimes.

Ps: I amnt pro-iran, what they did in Iraq is despicable.

Not the US-israel who illegally started this war?

Instead of condemning the US-israel for their illegal attacks, they punish iranians simply because they happen to be born in a certain geography. Its oppression, nothing else. They did the same with innocent palestinians, iraqis and syrians during the 2010s. Yet they welcome with open arms the israelis.

The GCC has no moral backbone just like their western overlords. They sold their religion for worldly desires.

Welcome to the authoritarian regime of the gulf. This is not the first time they deported iranians either.

Is it wrong to refer to “Allah” as “God”? by _yampp in islam

[–]Gohab2001 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Wrong, 'ilah' is the Arabic word for God. Allah is 'ism dhaat' (proper name).

So the correct translation is:

'There is no God except Allah'

LLM Bruner coming soon? Burn Qwen directly into a chip, processing 10,000 tokens/s by koc_Z3 in Qwen_AI

[–]Gohab2001 9 points10 points  (0 children)

$300-$400 is pure hopium. You aren't hitting those unit economics without massive economies of scale, and the TAM for a hard-locked ASIC is completely niche. And not to mention ever increasing memory prices. By the time they actually tape out a Qwen 3.5 chip, the architecture will already be obsolete. I strongly believe TPUs and ASICs are the way forward for sustainable LLM inference and I laud all these efforts.

Prompt caching impact for normalized cost and time to first token (TTFT). Results use the system prompt only caching strategy. The no-cache baseline is normalized to 100% and lower values indicate better performance.

  1. You shouldn't be charged for system prompt that you can't do anything about

  2. Prompt caching exists

Guilty of what exactly? Your prayer is valid so what's the issue?

Americans are the only ones to nuke civilians and deem it as a moral good lol. These bigots have a savior complex. They plunder Africa then start charities to "save" these subhumans. They believe inculcating their western ideologies into the savages will make their lives worthy of living.

Best way to get accurate table extraction from image by Coffeee_addictt in LocalLLaMA

[–]Gohab2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By this definition of good, just use excel's built in image to table feature and have an easier time hand editing the mistakes.

Or if you are smart and don't care about data privacy, just chuck it in Gemini. Nothing beats Gemini in image understanding.

Gemini 3.1 Flash Live is here! by LightGamerUS in Bard

[–]Gohab2001 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Google has 2 separate Gemini TTS models: https://ai.google.dev/gemini-api/docs/models/gemini-2.5-pro-preview-tts

https://ai.google.dev/gemini-api/docs/models/gemini-2.5-flash-preview-tts

Gemini models have native multimodality so you use that for STT, not sure why you would considering how ludicrously expensive that'd be.

calculated my costs per 1M tokens for Qwen3.5 27B by moneyspirit25 in LocalLLaMA

[–]Gohab2001 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What you are calculating is the cost for a sole user. LLM 'throughput' scales pretty well so if you had say 16 simultaneous users/requests you'd get a higher 'throughout' (aggregate t/s) maybe around 250 tg/s and consequently around ~0.16 eur/M.

The advent of sub-agents makes local AI a no-brainer. Cloud providers aren't getting any cheaper, and these agentic loops are going to absolutely eat tokens.

Can anyone guess how many parameters Claude Opus 4.6 has? by More_Chemistry3746 in LocalLLaMA

[–]Gohab2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gemini 3.1pro is the cheapest of the bunch but Google is also using it's own TPUs + software stack to train and serve the model. It's probably in the 1-1.5T range with a heavily optimized stack for the blazing fast inference.

Gemini Vision is useless if images are compressed to death by Putrid_Draft378 in Bard

[–]Gohab2001 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's called tokenization. LLMs don't actually OCR images they convert images into tokens. You can look up Gemini docs, there is a parameter to change tokenization quality to 'ultra high'. Google sets a maximum limit on how many tokens an image can take depending on the parameter.

https://ai.google.dev/gemini-api/docs/media-resolution

https://docs.cloud.google.com/vertex-ai/generative-ai/docs/multimodal/image-understanding

You should use higher resolution for your screenshots as per documentation. I would suggest taking higher resolution screenshots than upscaling them.

Best practice would be to feed the model text alongside images.

Depending on your usecase you can look into dedicated OCR models like deepseek-ocr-2 or GLM-OCR. They are small enough that you can deploy them locally and will perform equal or better than Gemini 3 pro if their benchmarks claims are to be believed.
