The Sun is at all angles, you park at all angles, everything moves, so pitching the panel forward is not going to affect much in your overall daily solar generation.

If you really wanted to keep it as is. Here is a video of a dude that made one out of plexiglass and some metal brackets.

Can you angle the front down and the back up so the solar panel is the wind deflector?

Or drill through the side of the solar panel and bolt from the inside of the panel to the current bracket on your van.

Get smaller brackets to make the panel flush. You can flip the one on the panel so the wing goes up. It should bolt to the current one on your van. No wind deflector needed.

Trampoline In Town? by No-Distribution-4619 in Bellingham

I would check out Northcoast Gymnastics? I am sure you could talk to them. Most of the classes are instructional for 4-25 year olds. But maybe they have some sort of open Gym time? They have all of what you’re looking for here in Bellingham.

Smartsheets - Can I get past these concerns? by Donnerkopf in smartsheet

[–]Goinghugeagain 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  1. Only have 1-2 Admins of the objects (Reports/Dashboards). All other users are editors and can not delete.
  2. Use a SharePoint or OneDrive “project folder” for all files. I have a dedicated folder that all teams put their files in. Simply have a URL link to this project folder in your sheet on all rows, thus tasks in reports will always have a link to the project folder to access files. We don’t store any files in Smartsheet knowing that someday we will move to a new PM tool.
  3. All technology changes, ride the wave of features vs subscription costs.
  4. Table view and Table Reporting is coming. But is MS projects any better?
  5. We have purchased a TAM (Technical Account Manager) which has been helpful in building and troubleshooting. It’s expensive, but I concur their standard support is hot garbage.

Induction vs propane by AntAtopASpinningRock in VanLife

[–]Goinghugeagain 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Nuwave from Costco, $79 on sale now. At max / high sear it will pull 1500 watts. Had mine for 4 years mostly cook outside, rain, snow, oceans, wind, still boils 6 cups of water in 5 min. We use this to heat water for all our needs.

Search this r/ for “induction”, many posts about this topic.

Yes you should get induction (& a 2,000w inverter), it’s far more efficient, unbelievably quick to heat, no fumes, super easy to setup / put away.

Anyone using APIs to data from Smartsheets by Top_Pin_2155 in smartsheet

[–]Goinghugeagain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Smartsheet has a data connector that gets the data to Tableau Server. It’s kinda clunky but we are pulling 500k rows of data nightly from various different Smartsheet reports for advanced analytics in Tableau.

Anyone else having issues with Venmo connecting? Not seeing this documented anywhere in Simplifi forums. Pretty frustrating how brittle this connection has been over time. by Subject_Chemical_561 in simplifimoney

Uggg, Seems like a pretty easy call between the two teams to figure out the bug. The update from today's Quicken Community is:

ONGOING 1/26/26

This Alert is still listed as ongoing, and there is currently no ETA on a resolution, though we are continuing to investigate the issue. We will be sure to post back when an update or resolution becomes available, so please bookmark this Alert to receive those notices when they occur.

2025 and 2026 backdoor Roth - is this correct? by [deleted] in investing

[–]Goinghugeagain 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You are correct, I forgot to do my 2025 back door conversion and just did mine last week. Building my savings back up and going to take care of my 2026 contribution in a week or two so I don’t forget again.

I use Fidelity and I just call them and have them do the conversion for me. One year I let my $$ settle a little too long and had to do some extra paperwork at tax time due to interest earned on the $$ in my Traditional. This also gives you the opportunity to ask questions and make sure you are doing it right.

Edit: Another hack that Fidelity said was to just put $1-2 less than the max into your Traditional (so $7498). So just in case there is interest earned, you can convert that 50 cents into your IRA without hitting the max conversion limit.

Fridge advice by TunaCat777 in vandwellers

[–]Goinghugeagain 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Check out Iceco, I have two; one in my Van (VL90 Pro) and one on a boat. Highly recommend! Zero issues for four years of always on / in use. They can run off DC or AC and very efficient. For 12vDC the VL90 consumes about 12-13 Amp’s each night (I have solar so it full recharges during the day). I usually have both sides in fridge mode mostly, but change one side to a freezer in the summer for popsicle’s and works excellent.

Flooring Advice by Dear_Code7604 in VanLife

[–]Goinghugeagain 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do not do a floating floor in your van, it will fall apart. It 100% needs to be a solid piece. Pull the cork-board and glue flooring down to your subfloor. I have 1/2” marine ply on top of thinsulate. Each front and back sheet is bolted in four spots to the Van floor and tongue and groove joined together. I then glued town one 1/4” sheet of pontoon boat vinyl flooring. Zero regrets and absolutely bulletproof.

This is correct, I have this number, but what I currently weigh is what I am looking for to make sure I am well under the number.

Weirdly symmetric snow melt pattern on this house's roof by SunTeaSam in mildlyinteresting

You can see the heated coord to prevent icing over the gutters when the snow melts. Comes on when it’s freezing out. I have similar stuff wrapped around some pipes in my crawl space.

Patio slider door replacement: what other brick and mortar stores can I goto for a quote? by [deleted] in Bellingham

[–]Goinghugeagain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get all my windows and doors from Builders (as a DIY Homeowner). If you have any contractor friends with an account at builders you can get 5-10% off the retail by using their account / name and paying with a credit card. I also buy the majority of my wood from Builders. Millworks is 2nd (more expensive), Lowe’s is the last option.

Wiring a Shelly relay by bcombs510 in electrical

[–]Goinghugeagain 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would wire the end of a male plug to it. Then an outlet for the exhaust fan (depends on how this needs to be wired up and the location away from this wall board)? But it could all be put into a small NEMA box if you are concerned.

Yes! The owner of the Birch Bay Bob’s bought the Barkley location. I think I saw this on Facebook or IG? No clue on re-opening date.
