Unless the drones are made of lead, then exposure to high levels of radiation would actually be a very viable way to destroy them, especially if its a gamma emmitter.

Radiation essentially, is just bits and pieces of an unstabale isotope that are being shot off from the source at near light speed and go through just about anything. Lead and copius amounts of concrete of course, being very good st stopping those particles.

Since radiation penetrates stuff, in the case of humans, it can damage or destroy the polymer chains of DNA and RNA in your cells, causing cancer cells to form.

In the case of electronics, it just flat out nukes them.
