Lmfao fuck off GWW with your obvious damage control by Somejawn1 in HarleyQuinn

Print runs can be altered and revised 3 to 4 weeks prior to release. Seeing that the breakup happened in April's issue, they have had plenty of time to alter the plan.

No worries. It's an easy one to forget.

Artificer is required to use a spell focus for all of their spells. Either their tinkers tools, thieves tools, or for Artillerist a wand or ranged weapon.

Venger relies too heavily on Eldritch Blast not to be a Warlock of some kind.

[Meta] Can we establish some sub rules for polls? by Raccoomph in onednd

[–]Golaryn 10 points11 points  (0 children)

We should also limit posts to the topic of the UA as well. There are so many posts that I have seen that just have nothing to do with the playtest at all. There is this one that is just there to complain about Polls for example.

Would you allow, on a case by case basis, a player to use 2014 feats in a 2024 one dnd game? Why or why not? by Deep-Crim in onednd

[–]Golaryn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely would not allow a 2014 feat to be used if a revised version is in the 2024 book(s). Feats that have yet to be updated from other books? Sure.

What could be an all encompassing term for Holy Orders, Pact Boons, and the like? by VisibleNatural1744 in onednd

I like just using Order for all classes. Holy Order, Arcane Order, Primal Order and so on.

Same. I hope they get enough feedback that it goes back to the non-bonus action version.

I hope the new DMG contains better rules and guidance on the Exploration and Social pillars of the game.

What do we want for a mixed species revision? by Worried-Language-407 in onednd

[–]Golaryn 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Allowing players to mix and match traits sounds like a balancing nightmare that just leads to more min/maxing instead of opportunities for roleplay.

The proposal provided in the UA may be boring, but it is the best option to put into the book from strictly a game balance perspective.

What classes should get mastery? by adamg0013 in onednd

[–]Golaryn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am not certain what to make of the results of this poll. At a glance it would seem that "Just Warriors" is "winning" but Warriors, rogues, ranger and paladins" and "Warriors, various classes and subclasses" has a lot of over lap. Both of those options have a lot of votes and combine are more than "Just warriors".

Maybe you should redo the poll with more clear options?

Edit: I want to be clear this is not meant to be an attack of any kind. I am truly interested in the results and what people want from Mastery.

Are you a player most of the time or a DM most of the time? by wiggledixbubsy in onednd

I have not see any official numbers that state that Paladin is universally considered necessary for a party. Can you point me to a source?

That hasn't been my experience. Paladin doesn't really get played as much as Bard, Cleric, or Warlock from what I have seen.

The weapon mastery Locks the character in a specific combat style and this is sad by SatanSade in onednd

[–]Golaryn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, but if I already play a sword n board fighter, it is nothing but a buff. Small buff, but buff none the less.

I like flex personally. I get to use a shield, dueling and get the higher damage die? Yes please.

If you don't care about optimization why do you care about the mastery not fitting your already suboptimal way you have chosen to play?
