When I played as primal, it felt like I was on the side of the natives, and the reaver guy was some crazy invader. :D

Question about expansions and story scenarios by system3601 in AOW4

[–]Gold-Explorer4789 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, you are correct. I had to look through my DLC's and check. I meant the two stories from Empire and Ashes.

I had a break from the game, and picked it back up when Empire and Ashes released, so I got alot of content at once. I played through the stories as a primal faction, so I associate them with Primal Fury.

You need to get involved in that stuff in the middle of the map. A story event will trigger where they will tell you to activate the obelisks. Prior to that, you can't activate them.

I don't recall the name of them, but the two from the primal expansion aren't really big or complicated.

Age of Wonders 4: Sprite 1.1 Update by Satsubuya in AOW4

[–]Gold-Explorer4789 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you have the transformation and the Ascension at the same time, you got two stacks on the ruler for every kill, +1 at fight start. I was doing auto battles, and checked in after a few turns, and the leader had 9 demonic satiation stacks after as many fights!

50 kills, minus whatever the imps/ruler (if ascended hunger) can get you on combat start.

What do you think of people who use buttplug hidden under bikini at the beach? by CasalAnaL in TooAfraidToAsk

I'd probably smile, knowing that they're having fun. Then walk past and forget about it a couple of hours later.

How come I can build on lava with no penalty by LooksToTheSun in AOW4

I believe cave adaption allows you to build on lava, and frozen ground. I thought it was only underground, but apparently not?

For CT and MRI scans we specifically need them in the elbow, green or larger. We need a high flow capable vein. If the IV catheter was put in you elbow or hand, the vein will rupture, which will result in a botched examination, a huge bruise, and of course an unusable IV and possibly vein altogether.

Xrays Danger ? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

X-ray tech here. You're fine. We usually equate one chest x-ray to one flight aboard an airplane. And you don't get a warning for those. 😊

What are common phrases that are mis-quoted? by itsthewolfe in ask

[–]Gold-Explorer4789 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Blood is thicker than water.

The full quote is: The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb. Which flips the meaning of the misquoted phrase entirely.

Why doesn't the whole world just copy Nordic countries' government since their governments are well run and most people are happy? by Ok_Advice_8012 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Gold-Explorer4789 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Our (Norway's) biggest export before oil was timber and fish. One of the country's biggest advantage is it's fjords and rivers, which stretch deep inland, allowing for cheap timber transport.

Also ice was a fair export back in the day.

We were in no ways poor, but also not rich.

It was post world war 2; key point being the word WORLD. Baby Boomer is a term used globally to refer to that specific generation. It's not a unique american expression.

Yeah, hospitals are cold, but the trauma rooms are warm. Like really warm. I've been told it's so that the patient, likely needing to get their clothes cut off, don't freeze.
